Second year pro.....not sure how much better you guys thought he would be.

The guy was a third round draft pick who showed flashes last season. We can't expect him to play like a top 10 pick in year two. He has the tools and will probably get better but it may take some time. If he reaches his full potential too fast he will just end up being another cap causality given our cheap ways these days on the defensive side of the ball.

He'll be a lot better if Marinelli didn't rush 3 all the time. I hate that Leo package. It also gives the Defense a passive mentality about not being the ones forcing the action. Part of the reason why the turnovers have been lagging these past few years.

We have 3 legit pass rushers now. Please give them more chances not more double teams.

We rarely rush 3. We did against the Cardinals because their O-Line is garbage and we needed all of the help we could get covering people.

Collins gets killed on double teams and O-Linemen with good technique dominate him because his footwork and punch placement is god awful.

He is getting double teamed on running plays and cannot hold up. We need a wide body.. the guy we had last year is playing in DC.

I'm really glad to see others understand the importance of the one tech. Someone who can demand a double team would do wonders for our defense. I like the size on Price, but someone that size should be able to get push. He doesn't do that.

Not sure what games you’re watching but we rush 3 a lot. We pretty much did that for Rodgers’ game winning drive. We might rush Durant to make it 4, typically after he takes away the shallow crossing route, but we typically start with 3 down linemen with. Collins at the 0 or 1 and doubled by default.

That's what happens to a lot of guys who have great rookie seasons......their sophomore year usually is worse.

We use our Leo package a lot. Go back and watch the games.

Collins is on pace for 8 sacks. That is great for the position he plays. Most of the success teams have had running the ball against this defense have not been up the gut. The linebackers are not filling the holes, or if they do they miss the tackle. It isn't Collins' fault.

I wish he would. Crawford has been playing well. Better than Collins to this point especially once you consider he gets half of Collins' snaps.

??? He had 5.5 sacks as a rookie and a 3 tech at that, with no training camp. 6 or 7 sacks usually gets you a pro bowl vote or two at DT...what are you talking about? He's going to be a big part of this line, he's just struggling with them sending only 3 on many plays.

Marinelli's stubborn belief that any halfway decent player can do fine at the 1 Tech is a big problem.
