Out of all the passes to Mingo I think I’ve seen one good pass. Hard to gauge when your qb is booty.

He’s been targeted and hasn’t done anything. He’s picked where he left off in Carolina.
Jerry 100% agrees, yet still traded for him anyways "There's no question that you can carry over good play from one season to the next."

This is so ridiculous I don't know how to respond 4 days later.

10 whopping targets with the Cowboys so far.

It ranks right up there with saying Deuce has been given opportunities.
He’s been targeted 10 times and has only 2 catches. He dropped one pass that hit him in the hands. Like I said he picked up where he left off in Carolina.

So you are putting all that on him?

Throw into a new system being ran with a backup QB who he has no experience with and a HC who is a terrible play caller?

Rough crowd.

I’m not putting it all on him because we’re playing with a backup QB but he’s done virtually nothing so far. I didn’t like the trade.

He hasn't had a chance. Man you are tough on our guys. It's instant gratification or bust.
I expect more than 2 catches after 3 games for a receiver that cost us a 4th round pick. So far it hasn’t paid dividends. When we traded for Amari Cooper during the season he immediately made an impact. Most didn’t like the trade compensation for Mingo, especially when it took a lower draft pick for Buffalo to get Amari and KC to get Hopkins.

Jebus. Now you are comparing Mingo to Cooper and Dak to Rush and the 2018 offense to the 2024 offense??? Seriously?

So far it hasn't paid dividends???? You are to much sometimes. He hasn't had a chance. Man you are tough on our guys. It's instant gratification or bust.

The comparison between Mingo and Cooper is we felt the need to trade for both during the season and so far Mingo has done virtually nothing. Do you honestly think he was worth a 4th round pick? In the discussions we had about our receivers you seemed pleased with them. So why trade a 4th round pick for a receiver who was flaming out in Carolina?

Not sure where you came up with that. Our offense was going nowhere in 2018 before trading for Cooper. That’s why we made the trade. A trade for an RB or a player on the defense would have made more sense than trading for Mingo.

The Lions gave up a 5 one yr a 6 the following yr ( in other words nothing ) and got Z’adarius Smith from Cleveland to help the DL after losing Hutchinson .

Jerry gives up a 4 in the.next draft for another WR to add to the collection of Brooks Tolbert Flournoy not getting enough targets . Give me the DL help for less of a price .

Well, we are stuck with them trying make the Mingo experiment work at least through 2026 so either he starts actually catching what's thrown to him of ita another wasted 4th round pick.

Is he worth a 4th? I have no idea. But I'm willing to give him a chance. Which is more than 99% of the others in here are. Throw into a new system being ran with a backup QB who he has no experience with and a HC who is a terrible play caller? He is set up to fail right now with the learning curve he has to overcome.

I know this - the trade was about next year. Not this year. So 3 games into it and he isn't making people forget about Bob Hayes, Drew Pearson and Michael Irvin isn't a reason to start pushing panic buttons. Not given the situation he was thrown into. With Cooks back, I don't expect him to get many targets the rest of the year. Which means nothing but the over reaction will be ridiculous.

I would agree with that. Especially with Cooks returning meaning Mingo's playing time decreasing.
