Mingo needs more targets

I was trashing the trade from the beginning, but to not try and implement Mingo in the game of this lost season is even worse. I may be even more irritated by his lack of opportunity.

I'm willing to give Mingo time to learn the offense before calling this a wasted trade.

The thing is, he's another Jalen Brooks to me, and it looks like Dallas traded a 4th away for a copy of a player they already have.

Mingo needs an offseason of work with the quarterbacks and offensive staff. He does block well and has Noah Brown potential. That is ok for a mid fourth round pick. Some of you guys act like the cowboys traded the 4th pick in the draft for him.

The trade was for 2025 and beyond. We won't know anything until then.
If it was for after this year we should have just waited for him to be cut after the season and saved the 4th round pick. Given what transpired with the him and the Panthers before his trade everyone knew that was the direction it was headed.

He wasn't expecting too.
Again, if you weren't going to use him this year then why trade for him when you could have signed him in the offseason after he was cut?

Edit: And what GM spends a 4th round pick in-season on a player they weren't expecting to have contribute that year? Oh wait, ours.

Yup. I was against the trade, but once it was done, for Bog's sake play him.

What other receiver ever got traded and couldn’t make even a couple of plays on a poor team? This is not good

Exactly...WRs change teams and have immediate impacts all the time. WR is one of the easier positions to transition to in the NFL as well. If a player isnt showing at least some traits as a WR to make plays by the end of year 2 the odds of them becoming a legitimate player in year 3 or 4 is extremely low.
