What seems to be missed in all this teeth gnashing about cornerback is that if Parsons, with his speed in full attack mode toward the quarterback, can pressure and sack the quarterback, he is more valuable than either Surtain or Horn on this team without a pass rush. Parsons has the opportunity to be more effective and lifting up the corners here as the time in pocket shrinks because of his pressure. It also makes the other guys on the defensive line better as the opponent tries to game plan Parsons.
There is a DT out there in FA that has been mentioned along with the Cowboys. Geno Atkins. I heard a segment on G-Bag nation and the consensus is he could be a quality piece if acquired. Solid DT play gives Parsons another point of attack when the tackles can occupy the OL men and allow him to pick his hole.
Personally, I relish the idea of Parson's picking Brady up off the turf on the Bucs first pass play that resulted in a sack.
"Mr. Brady, get comfortable down there. It'll be a long day."
