No it is mediocre at best per the zone's standards of player scouting.for a rookie to give up only two sacks in his first season is pretty good I think

c'mon, tony had about an hour to get rid of the ball here....
Haha, really? That's your best evidence? One sack for a guy who wasn't TFred's which happened because Tony held onto the ball too long? Yeah, great "point" there son.

He did improve his pass protection by the last half of the season. That play was in the second game of his rookie season and he didn't have many like it.
There is no doubt that his run blocking was ahead of his pass blocking, but he had pretty much shored that up by the end of the season.
I wouldn't say shored up but he did improve so it's shows promise for the coming season

He will be when he improves his pass pro and I believe Fred will get there.
I would.
It's OK for us to disagree though. That's the foundation of football message boards.
It does seem that we are in agreement that Frederick has a very bright future in the NFL.
As everyone stated , his second NFL game, and lets face it the Chiefs D was playing well early in teh season, even ill admit if Dallas caught em later, the results differ. Fredrick is a great pick., i have not had confidence in out center in a long time.
I agree that he needs to improve his pass blocking; however, #92 in that video is Dontari Poe who is a rare physical speciman, a true freak. He had a 1.67 ten yard split at 346 pounds and had 44 reps on the bench. When he's on his game, he is not going to be successfully single blocked.![]()

That was bad technique. He just over ran that block. I don't know what he was thinking. No doubt but in the gif below he gets caught leaning trying to help MB and is easily shoved out of the way. Mike Daniels (6' 300) is a good player but he isn't a freak like Poe. Like I've said before, I think highly of Fred but people forget or ignore the fact he has work to do with his pass pro. I truly believe he's one of those players that will get only get better and expect him to improve on his rookie campaign.

Did you make that gif?
I'm elated people are seeing good velocity on Romo's passes.
That is going to piss off the crowd that wants Romo to be done. You know, the usual suspects that post over and over how Romo will never be the same again and we should just move on right now. I am not going to mention any names, but everybody knows who we are talking about.
I am sure they are really loving Romo getting some zip back on his passes.................LOL
Yes it was and yes but source was bad

"Leading up to it, we had film (study) the day before, and I get grabbed by the neck by Doug Free, and George (Selvie) goes off," Crawford said Thursday on KRLD-FM 105.3. "He goes 'Hey you can't let that happen. Next time that happens you've gotta fight him...
"We go into practice (Wedneday)...I come inside and I get grabbed by the neck by (Frederick). (He) pulls me down, and I get back up, get angry and push him. And then if you can see from the pictures, George (Selvie) is really the one in there throwing helmets off..."
After Wednesday's minicamp, Crawford told reporters he felt like teammates were disrespecting him after his return from injury.
anything to this, or are players just trying to fire Crawford up? Frederick and Free are team bullies? Both from Wisconsin, so we know they are a couple of badasses
I'm not complaining about the gif quality, I was wondered if you made it. What program did you use?
are we going to pick and choose every play? Show me all the plays he made? This has gotten out of hand even in society where someone says something they would regret or dont mean and WE immidately make them regret every aspect.
A few bad plays, if we never had all this technology, let me ask you a true question? would you know it?

To be perfectly honest, I was a bit worried as well. Two back surgeries in nine months is nothing to dismiss offhand. However, with both Witten and the media mentioning the velocity on Romo's passes, I feel much better. It's the best news of the offseason.
Gardner isn't gonna make the team if he can't stay healthy. His legend has been growing since we drafted him.
