He isn't going to make it 20 games.
Maybe not but he is going to have a tremendous season, and I would have preferred it was for us. He has played full seasons in his career btw…in 2020 he rushed for over 2k yards… he was younger but to assume he is going to get hurt is a reach .

It was a huge mistake to not sign Henry and then Jerry Jones flat out lies about not being able to afford it.

U really think he bought a house in TX...because he wanted to be a Cowboy?

There must be a LOT of guys that want to be a Buc, Dolphin, or Jag, because half the NFL players have houses there.

Couldn't have ANYTHING to do with taxes, could it? And its not like TX isnt also a VERY attractive state for rich people due to their tax laws.....

Once again ....sometimes.....JUUUUUSSTTTT sometimes, the world doesn't revolve around the Dallas Cowboys

So you DO think he bought his house just to be as close as possible to the Cowboys stadium

And people say Cowboy fans are narcissistic.... pffffttt
He just happened to by a house there when he was a free agent when we desperately needed a rb.

Compared to Zimmer it was a huge mistake. With Quinn, we were breaking turnover records and getting sacks, just not stopping the run when we needed it. With Zimmer, we are worse at stopping the run, and no longer generate sacks and turnovers.
Sure Quinn did a lot of good things against lesser teams, but how did he do in the playoffs? How did he do against Green Bay last year? He was MIA.
So if you don't like Zimmer, fine! If you know of a DC better than Quinn and Zim, great! Lets get him! But that doesn't excuse Quinn MIA against the better teams.

The REAL tragedy will be if we do not draft one of the two great backs currently at Ohio State. We'll be wishing we had. Perhaps the new coach will lobby heavily for that and our new GM will agree. Hey...I can dream can't I??

Jerry is a terrible GM. Henry to Dallas was a layup but they want to play the "We didn't have money" card. smh.
yep. Jerrry was quick to say we did not have the money when asked. We have heard him say he can get anyone he wants and never failed to sign one. In this case, i think he gambled on his zeke and the committee of running backs. Everryone knew it was going to fail and now it has.
The offense has no identity and now the cap is full with the dak signing . Same old story.,
I think the 49ers solved a lot of cap issues by not overpaying QBs ( Purdy was paid 3.7 million last year !! )and spreading the money over for talent acquisition. Tamba did the same ( paying baker now 24 million a year).

The Jets and Browns overpaying their QBs have not yielded results either. The age of mega star pay is over and teams need to spread it.

Make no mistake the 49ers are going to have to pay Brock Purdy a lot of money this offseason I believe. They got lucky with having the last pick in the draft actually being a good QB. Brock will be paid this offseason. How much who knows but I bet it’s north of 50 milly a year.

Well, it makes perfect sense if Jerry's plan last spring was to not give big raises to his underperforming teams best players. In light the new contracts he gave in the weeks before the season started, it makes no sense at all. By signing Dak to that ridiculous contract and making CD the second highest paid wr in history, why roll into the season with nothing at rb?
Because our GM is Jethro, and he thought it was a great idea to trade for a $5M emergency QB, that will never step on the field.

Let me ask you a question, what RB do we have making $5M this year??? How much is Zeke being paid??? Add it together and what do you get??? You get Derrick Henry and a 4th round pick.

Imagine that for a moment.
