Mistake not getting Derrick Henry

Getting Lance in no way prevented the 'Boys from signing Henry.
Having a stupid Owner/GM is what prevented the Cowboys from getting Henry.
And it wasn't the money either. It was a slam dunk deal that didn't happen because Jerry's ego would take a hit.
Yes, the stupid Owner/GM on his own traded for an emergency back up QB and is paying him $5M this year. The most expensive emergency back up QB in the league history.

Not only that, trades to the team we are trying to gain ground on in the NFC. Then he out bids himself and over pays with a 4th round pick.

Do we have a RB making $5M this year??? No we do not. Thanks Jethro.

Heck, it would have been good to have Bucky Irving in the 4th Round this year. He was taken 1 pick after SF used the 4th we gave them for Trey Lance.

25 Rushes, 154 Yards, 6.2 avg.
And they only drafted him for his name.

While Henry would be a strong player here for us, not getting a Brealon Allen is the bigger crime.

Of course it was a mistake.

And it all stems from the fact Jerry is cheap nowadays. He pretty much came out and said Henry was too expensive and they couldn't get him under their cap (which is a total lie).

He didn't want to come here.

He wants a chance at a SB....and doesn't want to waste his last year or so running behind our garbage OL for 2.5 yards a carry.

Sometimes....it's not about what WE want.

He bought a house like 20 mins from Frisco. What are you talking about?

Why would Jerry possibly need Henry when he has Zeke, who in Coach Jones’ estimation is a premiere RB <sarcasm off>.
But hey…”we like our guys” so much so that they sign some of them twice!

Henry would do very little for this team. With Henry they are still 2-2. The DL and QB position are fatally flawed. Nothing else matters and would make a negligible impact.

Off-season move should have been to trade Dak and Lance for a 1, 2 and 6

Trade the 6 for Fields as starting QB. Siign Henry, a starting DT and a starting WR in free agency

That team would win 3-4 more games than this one and have an extra 1st and 2nd round pick to get even more talent
The off season move should have been signing Henry. It was a terrible blunder and it pisses me off that Jerry Jones lies about it.

With Henry they probably are 3 and 1.

Technically we’re paying Zeke 8 million this year. His base of 3 million and the 5 million they still owe him in dead money…..

you look at what he did to us and pretty much everyone else so far and then make that claim?
