PFT has a story up talking to Gil Brandt and he talked about another incident where Mixon allegedly threw a girl to the ground and hit her back in high school.

If that's true, I wouldn't touch him with a 7th round pick

I'd still take him, changes nothing for me. Expecting he was more mature when he was younger seems strange.

As to it being some kind of pattern he beats women I don't suspect that more than I think he's been an immature hothead that handled his emotions poorly.

Aren't kids like 13 in 7th grade? We really going to use this as some sort of proof of who he is without any additional facts? I am sure you and a lot of other people did some questionable or illegal things at 13. Does that define who you are as an adult?

Well he is just a stand up guy. Dallas should stay far away.

Was never a consideration for me anyway, so this doesn't change my opinion on him. I am zero tolerance when it comes to hitting/abusing women, children or the elderly.

Sad to me that it's even a discussion.

Break girls face? May consider in round 2.

Say stupid things on Twitter? Undraftable

Let's see: Allegedly happened in HS. Did happen in college. We might have a pattern.

I last fought a girl in middle school. After that, I learned better not to fight girls. People can change.

And if I, an immature hothead who handles my emotions poorly, did what he did to your wife and daugther--is that how you would describe me?

I'm sure I'd have many more words and feelings on the matter were it personal for me, but it's not personal for me. I am removed from emotions overwhelming other considerations and with that cold calculus make a better business decision.

I'd take him.

Neverminding Mixon for a moment (and it looks like the recent story was recanted), I just find it odd that a young man beating up two women is nothing more than "poorly handling ones emotions."

Well, in the video he certainly looked angry, and anger is an emotion. Then he hit her, which I would catagorize as handling that emotion poorly.

I agree. This drops him to the 6th for me.

#1) Aren't you too old to be going in to middle schools to pick fights with 6th/7th grade girls?
#2) Apparently, she kicked your shins hard and that was it for you?

:D

Sounds like defense lawyer jargon to me. "Ladies and gentleman of the jury, Timothy McVeigh didn't handle his emotions very well that day."

NBD.
