The big M&M is a QB whisperer and the best proof is not Rogers, Farve, Hasselback, or Gannon. Aaron Brooks showed me the skills as a QB whisperer.
Before Drew Brees, the only QB to lead the Saints to a winning record, and first ever playoff win in franchise history (33 years in a row no playoff wins and only 4 non losing seasons). Aaron Brooks was a 6-4-220, 4.50 40 yd time, athlete project at QB, and was Micheal Vick's cousin making his mark before the Michael Vick experience. Having played only one year as a full time starter at UV, Brooks was RAW. Aaron Brooks was drafted by Green Bay where M&M started out with Brooks, and then had the Saints traded for the ex 4th round pick when the big M&M became the Saints OC. The Big M&M developed Brooks into a effective playoff contention QB until his departure from the Saints, eventually going back to Green Bay as HC. Believe me that having New Orleans win and be in playoff contention during those days was a Herculean feat as the club was cheap, poor performing franchise, and only had stability during the Jim Fink years as GM (1986-1992). M&M Aaron Brooks experience is the only thing I have hope for as Dak Prescott is tailor made for a QB whisperer like the Big M&M. Dak will listen, work hard, execute the game plan, and lead the way like he did for Jason Garrett but with a HC that can actually improve him, put him in better positions to win, and will take the reigns off to use Dak's mobility at QB. All the Big M&M QBs are known for their mobility and throwing. Dak fits M&M's QB profile.
Aaron Brooks is in the Saints Hall of Fame along with Archie Manning.
Excellent reference. Many forget how bad the Saints truly were, before Brees it was just Herbert and Brooks who were the only successful QB's throughout their long, losing history. Good point about Dak fitting his QB profile. I suspect the wco will be a much better fit for Dak's skill set.
