Who chewed him out for not throwing the flag on the challenge called.
You do know that it’s not typically the head coach that makes that decision. It’s someone upstairs.

Now, I’d like to know who was *supposed* to tell McCarthy to throw the flag.

One thing that happens is everywhere in the league is the stadium employees responsible for showing replays deliberately slow roll any replays that don’t help the home team. It’s legit 100% because like everyone else people are looking up at the screen.

Looked to me as if he was trying to sort of back off and not get a penalty.

Either go all out for the block or don’t go near the punter.

This is what happens when a dumb player tries to split the difference.
Yeah he is starting to remind me of Leon Lett. Had the fastest get off the ball ever. Saw the man meet legally meet the exchange between the center and qb.. but we saw the other plays he made also. lol. Remember fins game. We had it won. Just don’t touch the ball on the ground. Here he comes. Players around him telling no Leon no. There he goes sliding into the ball. Grabbing for it and missing it…

The dumb players were arguing instead of signaling there might have been a fumble. Only one with any awareness was Wilson. That was on our players more than it was in McCarthy. Kind of interesting that for the network once again dosent show a replay till the next play had been ran.

It was a play that Sam had made before and was a game changer. He didnt spread his body. If he blocks that punt it’s a different game..
If he blocks that punt and runs it in for a TD, it only changes the game for about 5 minutes. No single play or even series would abort the stench of giving up 279 on the ground. We were physically manhandled by a bigger, stronger team.

I’m not one into “conspiracy” theories but I can’t help think Sam purposely missed the blocked punt. First of all, he jumped like he was dodging the ball instead of blocking it. Second of all, he slightly hesitates and slows down. Third of all, when you are that close to a block opportunity that he really should’ve had you go full speed and risk running into the kicker anyway because the block nullifies the penalty. He knows this because he’s done it before.

Why would he purposely do it though?

Lol, I can see what you are saying because the replay people in Buffalo will not show the same play as fast as it would have been in TX.

Yeah. The only thing it could have done was give them points and momentum…

Was not gonna help the fact that our Defense never even tried to stop the run.. If Dak makes the easy TD pass to Cooks when it’s 7-0 then we could have had 14 points more than we did..

I figured as much that Mike didn't know about that.....looked to be the right call honestly. Just a dumb penalty...yet another one by Sam. But then I guess you could argue why even risk it knowing Sam has done some dumb things in the past. I'm for the aggressiveness though.
I doubt he didn’t know.

It’s still a dumb decision. You’re getting the ball back… probably with decent field position. With the way the refs were calling things you even came close to the punter it was a low % play.

The first punt we almost ran into the punter as well.

The fact fassel did that just shows his ego to me.
