Why chew out Fassel for a players stupid attempt at a blocked punt?
Maybe the owner should chew him out for the inconsistent play and embarrassing butt whippings.

I’m not one into “conspiracy” theories but I can’t help think Sam purposely missed the blocked punt. First of all, he jumped like he was dodging the ball instead of blocking it. Second of all, he slightly hesitates and slows down. Third of all, when you are that close to a block opportunity that he really should’ve had you go full speed and risk running into the kicker anyway because the block nullifies the penalty. He knows this because he’s done it before.
Completely agree. Denmark never smelled so bad.

Honestly that's the players fault for not telling MM that he forced the fumble, but MM should have called a timeout given that situation with them running to the line!

He stated he had the flag in his hands but the bills ran the play too fast. Wow

You need to have Fassel run everything by you because as good as he is sometimes he gets a lil too aggressive

Brilliant! It’s on that if the punt was blocked, completely missed it and the onslaught was on from there.

Looked to me as if he was trying to sort of back off and not get a penalty.

Either go all out for the block or don’t go near the punter.

This is what happens when a dumb player tries to split the difference.
There's also coming in at a side angle for the block so that if you don't make it, you still don't run into the punter. I'm sure it's really low percentage for blocks, but at least you have a chance at a block without a high risk of a penalty.

It was a play that Sam had made before and was a game changer. He didnt spread his body. If he blocks that punt it’s a different game..
How would you know it is a different game? Cowboys could have blocked the punt and still play like crap and lose

They probly would have. But momentum helps. Block a punt. MM challenges that fumble, Dak hits the wide open Cooks early in the game. Plays we generally make that are game or momentum changers..

It was an aggressive play that didn’t work. Rather see that then the stupid pre snap penalties

Fassel obviously made a great call. Sam Williams, I think, came in so clean he was surprised and thought too much about not roughing the Kicker. He really didn't blow up the kicker and did not hit the plant leg. A 5-yard penalty would have been more appropriate.

The Buffalo Bills must watch a lot of WWE in their free time. Not much else to do, I guess. They have those flop moves down to a tee.
