Didn't Williams run into the punter and NOT rough him. The punter limped off like he was attacked by a crocodile but was definitely faking it. No real blunt force contact, just ran into him. Shoulda been 5 yds not 15.
It was 15 yards!
Williams is an idiot.

Should never go for the punt block. Always go for return with an eye on fake.
Exactly! The risk reward is not worth going for a block!
Way easier to run into the kicker than actually block the kick, especially when you have a dumbbell like Williams trying to block the kick.

uld have idran to thecsiThe dumb players were arguing instead of signaling there might have been a fumble. Only one with any awareness was Wilson. That was on our players more than it was in McCarthy. Kind of interesting that for the network once again dosent show a replay till the next play had been ran.
Can a player on the field call timeout? If not Wilson should have run to our sideline yelling, “throw the flag”.

I'd be pissed at whoever told the reporter that I just chewed out one of my top guys. (Unless I did in front of a crowd, which I wouldn't)

Usually they get there that quick they just wipe out the punter. Not just block the ball..
That was sloppy by him, literally right in the punters lap and still misses the kick cuz he’s jumping and not watching the ball.

What’s crap is he could’ve done literally anything but what he did and he blocks that punt. He doesn’t even need to jump and it hits him
it’s unfortunate, but lol @ trying to say what he should’ve done when everything he did to is what got him that close.

Gotta remember that there’s a clock. It’s rolling from the moment the play ends.

If you throw a challenge flag because an opposing player is jumping up and down …. It will not usually end up well.

This is definitely one of those things where watching fifty replays makes it a no brainer decision but ….

Real life is different.m
Even in “broadcast time”, the team might not even be seeing those replays
When the receiver is telling them to hurry the snap up is because he knew he fumbled it. I was seeing it live and saying challenge it while it was happening, no replay.

It was a play that Sam had made before and was a game changer. He didnt spread his body. If he blocks that punt it’s a different game..
Yeah. That is a relative statement. I think it was a dumb call. If you need it to come back in a close game fine, but that early…!?

Cross the front but not straight at kicker

He was in mid air. It was definitely roughing.

It’s still a dumb decision. You’re getting the ball back… probably with decent field position. With the way the refs were calling things you even came close to the punter it was a low % play.

The first punt we almost ran into the punter as well.

The fact fassel did that just shows his ego to me.
He’s an elite ST coordinator.

He’d be out of work for a day.

He taught them how to get by the center.

He can’t do it for them.

On the fumble, in Buffalo the coaches upstairs only have the network replay to watch and Fox didnt replay it...it would have been a blind challenge..probably still worth the risk..

Who chewed him out for not throwing the flag on the challenge called.
Honestly that's the players fault for not telling MM that he forced the fumble, but MM should have called a timeout given that situation with them running to the line!
