This should have happened when Elliot was hurt but was refusing to come out of the game. MM should have made Elliot sit.. They leave it to the starter to take a breather and come out. I remember a time when fans would say. Man everytime we get moving the ball or need a drive then Elliot is tapping his helmet and taking himself out.

This is the same sort of meddling that got them to swap roles between Julius and Barber in 2007. Yeah lets fix the running game that was top 3 in the NFL and got us to 13-3 for the playoffs. Barber makes them look smart by running for 100 yards in the first half against the Giants.. Then reveals how stupid they were by running for like 20 yards in the second half. The only thing they really need to do to get this team playoff ready is sit Zeke for the final two games of the season after they clinch the division. Not that I think they will do it but that's how I see it.

Now if Pollard is killing it and its a close game, then by all means give him more.

Pollard is the change of pace RB and he needs to stay in that position. Dallas has made the mistake in the past of moving the COP RB to the starting position and the results was not good. Pollard was not the starter in college for a reason. He is not the type of RB that can hold up with a heavy workload. Pollard needs to stay fresh so that he can come in during the second half of games and take advantage of a defense that Zeke has softened up. Zeke is not the RB that he was 3-4 years ago, but it is rare to see him not falling forward at the end of every run. His contract prevents the team from cutting him and signing a cheap alternative, so Dallas should make the most of it and have him doing the hard blocking and making the tough runs. Keep Pollard fresh and give him plenty of carries when the situation calls for it.

There's no reason why they can't throw in the occasional 2 back set. Pollard being a decoy could help Zeke actually

Disagree. I have no problem with increasing Pollard’s workload, but don’t mess with the lineup. Pollard is not a 25 carry RB. Mix them up and use both, but changing the starting lineup isn’t a good idea IMO.

They should try to use them both in the redzone. They can even pass with both on the field as Pollard is a good receiver. It will keep the defense guessing as both can run and catch.
And as few have mentioned, Zeke can play the FB role in that situation also.
