Let Zeke and his big ego get the first carry. We dont want him or Jerry crying the blues. Then give the majority of the carries to Pollard. Or whomever is the more effective back. Which will be Pollard.

When healthy I don’t think there is a better tandem in football. Pollard has been running very well but I don’t believe he can carry the load. He doesn’t pick up blitzes very well compared to Zeke and I personally would want a punishing back late in a game to pound the defense. Having both has been awesome but they need to be healthy. Go Cowboys!

What is your alternative, Otis lad?
Start Pollard. If he can't carry the load, reduce it a bit. Help him be No. 1.
If it still doesn't work out, at least the FO tried.

Jerry is likely gung-ho about making Zeke look as good as possible. After all, he'll want to make that contract look like a winner. He's not likely to put a spur under Zeke's saddle at this juncture. LOL....I really don't think whatever he tells them will save us from one of the most inept predictable inept passing attacks.....
I am amazed how one of those short ones we constantly throw hasn't been returned for a pick 6.

When it comes to the star / big money players, I think MM is limited in what he can do with them.
Jerry wants them to play and play a lot.
Kellen is the play caller and possibly offensive HC, so he may have some say in all this.

They all have to go along with what pleases the jones boys lol, just the way it is.

I am expecting no big changes come playoff games. at best pollard gets more carries than usual.

Zeke is the worst running back in our conference. Yet he is one of the top paid running backs in the league. He deserves to be benched.

thoughts are this post is not necessary. Not happening and no reason for it..they both have roles and both need to stay in those and both are much needed to play the way theyve been playing and theyve been nearly splitting the carries down the middle..both are slightly injured, and both have issues with the OL and the OC.

zeke talk is almost as old as the dak talk,..no its not happening this wont age well..the coaches play who they feel is best in their roles not jerry and they have it right..keep the split close and we need both..

I don 't see it as necessary. Both guys are getting opportunities and I have yet to see Zeke complaining about his role. It shouldn't matter who the first guy on the field is.

before you do any of that, sit Zeke for the next two or three weeks & see if you can get him healthy. i mean no practice, no play. rest, massages, physical therapy, stretching, etc.
heck, if you can make it work roster wise, sit Tony for a week or two. let some other guys take the pounding in what appears to be largely meaningless games.
let them both get rested & healthy for the real show.

Guys this isn't high school or Madden... AIN'T no STARTER in the NFL it's packages... so you would like to see more packages that include our change of pace back (Pollard) earlier in the game planning and save heavy packages for late in the game.

I like but this requires Dallas to get to fast starts, which is not our normal. You guys really don't understand the usefulness of those early body punches with zeke up the middle give you late in the game. Dallas earlier in the Season ran the ball heavy early and wore teams down by the third quarter... then we would score a ton in the 3rd. We have gotten away from this mind set... we need to get back to being physical like early in the season.

Doesn't sound like that would involve benching Elliott.

I think they are playing it fine. Part of what makes Pollard special is that he is kept fresh and when he comes in the defense gets a different speed/look coming at them. Then Zeke, when healthy, still does a good job at some of the other things. You can't discount his injury. He said he is feeling a little better and his has indeed looked a little better too. I'd definitely try and get him healthy for the playoffs because if we could get him back to the guy that played the first part of the season and sprinkle in Pollard on about a third of the snaps AND get our OL in order we really can do some damage. If you play Pollard on 75% of the snaps for a full year you aren't likely to see the same player and if the defense knows he is playing every 3rd down they are going to blitz and make him try and pick it up.
