MM needs to call in 21 and Pollard in his office to have a conversation

Even if he was "benched," his opportunities and numbers would be roughly the same. They need both.

If Elliott were with another team early in his career and was cut and picked up for cheap, people would say how great it all is.

Forget the contract. Massive mistake but it's over.

Even if it's pass blocking only, we need him to be out there weekly.

Potentially winning in Green Bay when it's six degrees is going to fall a lot on him and I hope he is finally up to the task.

When you are an absolute stud 90 million dollar RB and you are an excellent blocker it makes for great press. When you are a dud 90 million dollar RB and all you do well anymore is block it is weak sauce.

Zeke is the worst running back in our conference. Yet he is one of the top paid running backs in the league. He deserves to be benched.

I feel like this is a little harsh. He’s clearly inured and looked good early in the year.

The problem is Pollard is healthy and productive.

Zeke still needs to play but he should not be featured in this offense.

Pollard is ready to explode on teams and bring Dak’s game back to above average with him.

When it comes to the playoffs, MM needs to tell Pollard he's the starter. Damn the money. Damn the contracts. It's about the 6th.

Your thoughts?
MM needs to call Zeke in there and tell him if your not running hard on every play than we're going to have to find someone who will and you can sit on the bench. And by the way shave that stupid beard and get a haircut.

I would like to see Zeke and Pollard rested some more to heal up for the playoffs. Play Clement. I think we also still have Ito Smith on the practice squad. He's got some moves. We can win with those guys. Play them. Get our main guys healthy and ready to kick butt in the playoffs.

I personally think Zeke is running hard(although easy to see he is hurt), playing hard and being a great teammate. He may be the toughest guy on the team. But I would rest him. And I agree about cutting hair!

I think it will take both playing at a high level...dont care how the carries are split if they are moving the chains like earlier this season.

This. It's running back, the starter doesn't matter. You can split the carries however you want. Is the starter the guy who gets the first carry? Or the most carries. I do agree I'd probably make the carries 60/40 Pollard right now. But Zeke is still the best at getting that 1-3 yards on 3rd/4th down imo and you can't not have him protecting Dak sometimes, Pollard flat out can't do that. I do prefer Pollard as a check down option to Zeke though. Zeke's hands aren't great and he rarely does a ton after the catch.

Why would it be harsh? Dak gets way harsher treatment. Yet Zeke gets a pass on subpar production. The run game has been abysmal when Zeke runs with the ball. He has lost his speed, can't break tackles and can't even run outside.

Zeke is certainly overpaid and not shown anything that he's deserving of it.

I totally agree on resting him. It would benefit the running game for him to sit out a couple weeks and heal up.

This is an odd take.. Zeke is averaging on the order of 12 carries a game and 2-3 catches a game over this past 6-7 game stretch. On what planet is that being "featured." Zeke is playing his role.. He is the hammer inside and Dak's bodyguard. People are mad about it because of his salary.. He's hurt.. but playing through it.. because the team has needed him to. Yes Pollard is productive, but Pollard got hurt on half the workload that Zeke was getting.. What sense does it make to give him MORE work armed with that knowledge? Both guys are dinged.. Zeke apparently has a knee that stiffens up on him as the game wears on and Pollard has a partial tear to the plantar fascia. I've had both injuries.. You can play through both but obviously the knee contributes more to your ability to run so Zeke's injury has slowed him down more than Pollard's. Ironically I think Pollard's probably hurts more.. at least mine did.. But they have better drugs for NFL players than I had access to. Unfortunately there is no drug that can keep a knee from stiffening up. It is what it is.. The one-two punch works.. I'm down for riding the hot hand.. My heart was warmed last Sunday because Moore called two run plays in a row on more than one series..

MM needs to have a conversation with Booger first to see if that’s OK.

I could care less about any of Zeke’s stats to be honest.

He needs to be on the field about 25% of the time unless the situation calls for him.

Two backs is not a bad thing. Remember when Barber was good as a #2 and then they made him a starter? He wasn't nearly as effective.

MEANWHILE....:muttley:
Not a good idea at all. They compliment each other. Sometimes they need an explosive play and Pollard will bring it and sometime they need that hard azz 2-3 yards for a 1st or even a TD at the goal line and Zeke will bring it.
:hammer:

Starting is not really anything
I care about snaps not who plays the first snap

We will just have to agree to disagree. You claimed he was being "featured" when clearly he is not. This team throws the ball 70% of the time so I believe he should be on the field for 90% of those plays. If you want to split the carries 50/50 then fine.. Hell if you want to lean 60/40 to Pollard while Zeke is hurt also fine.. But in passing situations it needs to be 90/10 Zeke.. Period.

Remember when they did the same thing with Felix over Barber.. or when they sent Emmitt packing because Hambrick looked so good as the #2. Some of these people never learn it seems.

Iggles just put 237 yards on the ground against WFT. We should have put up 250 then.
