Meat and Potatoes draft where the point of attack and stopping the run/running the ball seem to be the focal point.

If there’s one thing this organization has been the majority of the post Jimmy era it’s soft. I’m not saying this pivot McCarthy seems to be leading will work, but I definitely applaud them for switching gears and trying to be tough instead of flashy.

The identity of the team should be so and that’s the identity that wins in the playoffs. Not the get-pushed-around style we used to have. Did y’all not see a huge improvement on how our D played the Niners this year as opposed to last? We stuck right with them and if we take one more step in the toughness department then we’ll give them all they can handle.

Our competition is Philly and SanFran, both physical teams that can run and stop the run. We are trying to join them and I like that.

Also, Dak isn’t a high flying pretty play air raid QB. He’s a tough and resilient guy who can drive the bus well. When you try to make him a prolific passer you open yourself up for things to go wrong. With this new toughness approach, you let the identity of the QB and offense/team really gel and mirror eachother.

This is the biggest reason Moore is gone. The things he liked to do didn’t line up with how Mike felt this roster should be playing. He recognizes this isn’t Favre and ARod, he can’t win by throwing it all over the yard in shotgun. He needs defense and a running game so game scripts can keep us on schedule. Dak throwing 25-33 times as opposed to 40+ is what has given us the most success and we are diving head first into it. Love it!

This would be 'meat and potatoes' if we drafted O'Cyrus in the 2nd round.

This looks more like a bargain version of Philly's draft. If we actually do something in free agency to plug in the hole at runningback and O line, I guess I'll be happy, but if we go into the season like this, we have a huge problem on our hands.

I get the point if referring to Mazi, but a TE that is known as an ok blocker and a light note pants LB who used to be a safety and will likely be more of a nickel guy fit into this? Seems like a good idea, but I'm not so sure our picks today fit what you are looking for. I'm not saying they aren't going to be good players, I'm just wondering if your comments fit what we did

If I didn't know better I might think "coach in waiting" Quinn probably thinks it's sexier.

There are still some veterans out there.

OG Dalton Risner is out there, I believe, a four year starter for the Broncos.

The Cowboys could make a trade for a veteran RB. I'm sure quite a few current players just became expendable.

Even when the draft is over.........it's not over.

Are you an O’Cyrus expert? There were knowledgeable voices in CZ chat saying he wasn’t a great fit for us.

Telling my brother and law, your lions already have 6 picks to just the boys 3 in the first 3 rounds. WOW!

everyone's a sudden expert in here when their "mawk draftz" are called into question
Maybe if someone called the FO out, we wouldn't have dumped 2nd rounders into Bossman Phat, Trystan Hill, Randy Gregory, and Jaylon Smith among others.

If we didn't take the TE with our 2nd, we don't have a huge hole at the TE spot. Ferguson and Hendershot are still serviceable. We have a massive hole in the O-line spot that we would have filled by taking O'Cyrus. The gap between O'Cyrus and whoever our option would be at the O line is MUCH larger than the gap between Schoonmaker and Ferguson/Hendershot. How much better are we expecting Schoonmaker to be than Schultz was?

listen mister, you need to take the gap between Schoonmaker and Ferguson/Hendershot, and shove it right up the gap between your massive hole and your o-line
