Nice to see a db actually try and play the ball. It was a pretty terrible throw to be honest. It's football, guys get hurt, thankfully nobody did here.

Hope Claiborne continues to compete like he has been.

Honestly...they way Dez runs his mouth...I'm surprised he isn't jacked up more often. He needs to shut his hole...and just play.

Zone complains all offseason about our corners not making plays on the ball.

Cornerback goes for the INT, gets criticized on the Zone for doing so.

yes typical...just like if we sign a player, he sucks Jerry is stupid, if NE sign same player it's brilliant, why didn't Jerry sign him, Jerry is stupid.
We don't sign a player, Jerry sucks, but if NE don't sign him...brilliant....the guy sucks, NE must know something that we don't.

Yep!
Dez mouth, on and off field behavior prevents him from being one of the most respected players in the league which his talent might otherwise provide .

Class is not something we can associate with Dez.

I like it:D The media/coaching staff haven't softened him up one bit and that's what makes him tick. Let him be an alpha. No one minded in '14 when he was whipping CBs AND talkin smack all game. He's our modern Irvin on offense and gives the team that confidence and cocky attitude you need to be elite. This team tends to play scared, Dez is a good counter measure to that mentality.

OK....bullet dodged. No real facts or conclusions to resolve this argument. It's just happenstance that one of our best WR got tangled obviously unintentionally with one of our more controversial CB's. BUT at the end of the day, no harm or foul and all is well. Move on, nothing to see here. :banghead:

While Irvins behavior off the field was definitely thuggish his on field temperament and behavior was of class and leadership for all to look up to and respectful of his teammates and coaching staff.

That's football. Mo was going for the ball and it was a horrible throw that ended up in the dirt. It happens. Move on.

The DET thing I understood his frustration. I was actually angrier at the complacency of Ware, Witten, etc. in their comfort in losing that game in that fashion (they'd seen it once too many times; almost used to it). But I understand for a bureaucracy to work, you can't physically intimidate your coaches, etc.

But the chest thumpin, up n down the sideline histrionics, on field trash talking; keep all of that. "Thug" behavior, but was also correct in that the coaches lost that game; "I busted my tail all game only for you sideline professors to throw it away!". I felt the same anger.

Walking off the field and his frustrating antics on the sidelines reek more of a selfish behavior than team leadership we need from a player with his talent level.

Appearances can be deceiving. Remember the footage where it looked like him and Romo were getting into it? When you heard the audio it was anything but. It was football talk bw two ball players. Leaving the field early was immature but again didn't matter; game was lost. More times than not Dez is talkin football jibberish to amp himself and the team up. It may look scary/immature to outsiders, but it isn't to the players or staff, so I wouldn't concern myself too heavily about that aspect. Dez is not TO despite those actions (basically).

Of course it matters. Perception is important.

What would be the perception if everyone walked off the field whenever they wanted and walked up and down sidelines ranting and carrying on?
