I love the fact that the D is really giving the offense some great looks. Usually it is Witten and Dez amping up practice. This year Lee and Mo are becoming catalyst for the team too.
Iron sharpens iron and if the D is made of iron and not tin, I am waging on the former, then this season should be more in line of what we expected after the 2014 season.
We all hope so. It'd be great if we could stabilize the rotation of DLs here a bit as the preseason goes on. It's rough having the starters at DE up in the air at this point. With Mayowa out, and Tapper limited, and Lawrence suspended and Irving hurt and Russell not having it all together yet, it's tough to see what we've really got. Throw in T McClain being hobbled and Collins out, and we're rotating a lot of guys into the lineup who won't actually be on the roster. That leads to trouble for the LBs and makes things look sloppy, overall.
As young as we are, with not a lot of standouts on the DL, it'd be great if we could just figure out a stable rotation and let everybody play together for a month here going into the season. Survive with Lawrence out the first four weeks and hope that Mayowa can be a legit starter for us and that the young players develop, and we might be ok up front.
