I was just asking because this new guy shows up on monday and starts badmouthing our players in the weeks leading up to the Eagles game ...... my trolldar went off.

I'm on to him, too, Zrin.

But he avoids me like the plague, in several threads where he's been nothing but negative.

I am not "on him"........just something I noticed.

I have no problem with someone being negative ...... I hate the Jones's with a passion ...... just suspicious when I guy joins before a division game badmouthing the players who are playing well.

I just watched that play over and over and for the life of me, I can't see how that wasn't intentional unless he had his eyes closed for the last 1.5 seconds.

I really find it hard to believe as Lee isn't that kind of guy but he led with the helmet, which is against the rules. Had the receiver been there, Lee would have hit him in the head with the helmet as well. That would have drawn a personal foul penalty.

What exactly are you saying? That Lee intentionally knocked out Mo? and if so, what for?

Same, I hate Jerry as our GM as well. Just stating that I'm watching him closely, Zrin. I, too, have no problem with people being critical of our team, we haven't done squat in 20 years (because of Jerry). But I also key in on people who only offer a negative perspective when they're new, choosing solid performers to address as "bad."

Especially in light of some of these new guys who have disrupted the board with obvious troll behavior.

You don't have to be on him, but I am. :)

I can go on pretty much forever about how spare I think this guy is, which he is. And we were just watching different games last year, because Claiborne looked the same as he always has. And he was facing the same difficulties as everyone else on the D the last several years and has still managed to solidify a reputation for being toast more often than not (or hurt). The rest sound like excuses. Too late for those in year 4 (or 3, really).

It would hurt our team to overpay a spare that manages to make a Pro Bowl (and let me know when that actually happens) in year four despite being a first rounder. Roy Williams, anyone? LOL @ Claiborne being a "CB1". He'll be lucky to be a CB2 at his next stop. He wouldn't leave a single hole here, except for maybe at the training table. I'm totally comfortable with A. Brown next season and beyond.

We don't have to give him anything. A tag is only one smart option. The other is letting him walk and occupy somebody's else's training table. That's where it ends, unless the FO wants to go back to 2000-2010 and some of those deals they handed out. I'm not real interested in that.

And your very last sentence tells me you're more of a player fan club, fantasy football GM than a Cowboys fan, which is fine, but I don't identify with that mentality. Kind of ironic, too. Every one of your posts ITT are "RAH RAH, Claiborne". Is this an LSU thing, or something? I don't get it. The LSU players the Cowboys have drafted the last 20 years have pretty much all sucked relative to where they were drafted. A smart move would be to not even consider players from there. They tend to be fat, stupid, and underachieve. I can only expect the FO to make so many smart decisions at once, though.

Judging from your username I'm gonna assume you're on the Nimitz? Coming from a third rate carrier like that I can see how you have such a foolish outlook on Mo. Must be radiation poisoning.

If we could get Scandrick out there..

he and Jones and Carr should really make a difference for the DL pass rush.

And Brown has been outstanding I think. too.
Agreed. Scandrick clearly hasn't been in game shape and it showed in his first real game back against Gmen when he was torched and strained both hammies to boot. Sort of ironic in a way the role reversal between him and Mo. a few years ago it wudda been Oscan ballin and Mo sidelined with injuriy after injury. But yes...if we get the full plethora of dudes back, we've arguably got one of the top and deepest secondary units in the league.

He clarified later that he was wrong, 88. But yeah, at first, he was saying that lol
lol. That was absolute madness. Lee was running flat out...anyway, those kind of collisions happen all the time. How many of those have you watched in hockey!!

No, I was saying that I believed he either closed his eyes or was going for a helmet to helmet on the receiver and misjudged....and then saw that he stumbled a bit later. :D

I said it kind of LOOKED like he went for a hit on Claiborne but I didn't believe it.

I already stated it, but people who use Haley as their avatar have trouble with reading comprehension I guess. Watching that play and not seeing the stumble made it look like he lowered his helmet knowing the receiver wasn't there or wasn't looking (the second being my guess.) Then later I saw him stumble and it explained everything. Try actually reading ALL of what someone says. It helps.

Haley, I was gonna put the gloves on when he went after you, but it seems you two go back, so I'm backing off. :)
