Day 3 is in the books. Today was Shoulders/Arms with Ab Ripper. I'm sore from Monday and yesterday, I'll be really sore tomorrow after pushing it in this one, but I feel so great for having worked out this morning. It's already starting to push away the feeling of sickness while working out.

Don't worry.. my Day 0 is a little chubby also. Tell me when, we'll both post at the same time.

I had knee surgery 11 months ago, haven't worked out in two years. I'm 23, turning 24 in July. I'm going off a long layoff of not being active what so ever so I expect so good results pretty fast..specially with how bad I've been eating this past year.

Have you tried that "Insanity" workout Braveheartfan?

I almost passed out after two minutes. Those guys don't play.

Yes I have. I got that for Christmas last year from my sister (i had hinted around that I wanted it) and me and my nephew did it for a couple of weeks and MAN OH MAN. That is serious cardio. That's hardcore hard.

I never got to the point where I could go anywhere near all out and make it all the way through the workouts. Tough.

Actually that's kind of what I'm doing now. For my strength training days during the next 3-4 months I do the P90x workouts and on the cardio days I alternate between P90x cardio workouts and Insanity cardio workouts. I'm hoping to get the best of both worlds that way.

But yeah those things are extremely tough and, in all honesty, you need to be probably in decent shape to even do the Insanity workouts anywhere near 100% the whole way. But, like with anything else, including P90x, you can always modify and just give it what you've got till you build up more and more.

I'm just finishing up the regular P90 workout. I'm going to start P90X in the next couple of weeks. I still need to get a pullup bar and some good adjustable weights though. I've been using bands, but that's just a really sad alternative as far as being exact on your weight levels.

As for the workouts I havent been able to post the last couple of days cause I've been busy. I got Yoga X in on Thursday and then Friday morning i had Legs/Back & Ab Ripper X. In the morning it will be Kenpo time.

Ozzu it's good to hear you're about to join in on the P90x workouts. I have bands and free weights and a lot of times I like the bands much better because they're a lot easier on your joints and give you a more smooth motion.

But both are great ways to get the job done.

I hate the bands except for chin ups/pull ups. I'm very short, so I've got short arms and legs, and so I have an extremely hard time doing any regular exercise with them. I like the weights a lot better because of the fact that I don't have to worry about stepping on excess band to create resistance.

Yeah I guess they're not for everyone. :)


Kenpo X in the books for today and later I'm going swimming with my kids so that will add even more fun to the week. I hope everyone else is doing well in their workouts and such as well.

Today was the day that you can either rest or do the X-Stretch workout and I chose, as I usually do when working out, to do the X-Stretch workout. It always makes your body feel a lot better after a week of solid workouts.

BTW...week 2 started today with another round of Chest/Back with Ab Ripper X. I knocked it out and did 100% better than I did last week. I'm feeling a whole lot better already.
