They really aren’t a good OLine though. Even with the best T in the NFL, by a wide margin, they are considered a bottom 10 OLine. Now maybe the new players are better than expected but they are on paper not a good OLine.

I don't know what they see on paper, but Purdy always seems to have time back there.

Why go for 2?

2 makes you down 11 which is another TD+2pt+FG whereas with 12 you only really get there with 2 TDs.

Down 13 before the try. There's no meaningful difference between down 12 and down 13: you need 2 TDs either way. But down 11 creates the possibility of tying it with 1 TD + 2-pointer + FG.
