Gibbs is at it again. I'm so sick of this crybaby. I don't remember him being this way in the past. I can only say i've lost respect for him. Shut up already. His cry game isn't going to work this season. I can't wait till the Cowboys kick the skins ^%$ on MFB!!
----------

Not surprisingly, head coach Joe Gibbs is not looking forward to playing the Commanders' 2006 schedule. He spoke with reporters on Thursday, a few hours after the NFL released the regular-season schedule.
"I will be honest and say that I've never seen a schedule I like," Gibbs said.

Gibbs targeted the first two weeks of the season as particularly tough. The Commanders open with a Monday night game against the Minnesota Vikings at FedExField, then turn around and play a Sunday night game at Dallas in Week 2. Both games will be on national television.

"I'd love to have a rule where if you play on Monday night, you have to play at home the following Sunday," Gibbs said. "It's tough to operate on a short work week like that."

Gibbs said he always looks at where the NFC East teams are situated on the yearly schedule.

"Philly's been dominating the division before this year, so you have to figure they're going to come back mad," he said. "You know about Dallas and the Giants and what kind of job they do. I think they've helped themselves this offseason. Our division is extremely tough and this will be a real challenge."

Gibbs commented that the November stretch of games, starting with Dallas at FedExField on Nov. 5, at Philadelphia on Nov. 12, at Tampa Bay on Nov. 19, and Carolina at FedExField on Nov. 26, looked to be extremely difficult

Is it all bad? Gibbs did see some positives in the schedule.

"I do like that fact that the bye is in the middle of the season," Gibbs said. "I think that's the best place to have it. I like that once we get past the [season-opening] Monday night game, they're all Sundays and evenly spread out that way until we get to that last Saturday night."

Regarding the bye week coming in Week 8, Gibbs added: "I thought last year, when you have a bye that early, [it's not good]. You need a break and a breath of fresh air halfway, I think. I'm glad that we have a bye roughly halfway there."

He's giving Dallas props by saying a road game against you all is very difficult after a Monday nighter and he'd prefer not to have to do it. I doubt he would have made the same comment if we were playing the Texans in week 2. Read between the lines.

If he dislikes every schedule it means he doesn't overlook opponents and is humble....jeez some people look for anything to spin.

It's becoming more apparent that this guy has lost any class he once had.

It sounded to me more like he was asked what he thought about the schedule and stated the difficulties and the parts that were beneficial.

Bet the writer tried to play it up like Gibbs was complaining more than he was. Didnt really see any quotes by Gibbs that sounded like he was complaining to the league or anything.

But that's what happens when you get a reputation for whining.

What a friggin crybaby! Dallas has to play 3 games in 11 days often times because of Thanksgiving so I don't want to hear about it from that wussy.

Really, if anyone has a right to cry it would be the Eagles. Dec is a rough stretch for them. I would be crying if the cowboys had that stretch in Dec.

How do you figure?

Sunday to Thursday (4 days)

Thursday to following Sunday (10 days)

3 games in 14 days is what you face playing every Sunday week to week. You only get 4 days to prepare for Thanksgiving but then so does your opponent so it balances out.

Let's try it real slow so you can follow along.

Dallas @ Arizona on Nov. 12. You with me so far?

Indy @ Dallas on Nov. 19. Still with me?

Tampa Bay @ Dallas on Nov. 23. How you doing?

Nov. 23 minus Nov. 12 is 11 days. There are 3 games there. In 11 days.

You follow?

such disrespect for a HOF coach... wow.
Yeah, I'm real sure every word that comes out of your mouth or off your keyboard about Parcells is glowing with praise.

I was born at night, but it wasn't last night.

You can call it 12 days. I won't complain. It works as 11 too. A game and 11 days later 2 more games have been played. You want to split hairs, go right ahead.
