I don't call that a plan, I call it being backed into a corner.
Taking a QB, even if its not the guy you or I my like at #4 is a PLAN, shows some progressive forethought. Bosa, after this free agent spree to date screams, we screwed up the DL plan and HAD to do it.

What a terrible approach at acquiring talent for your future. I'd rather live with the hole for a year than force a pick there. 5 years down the road I don't want to remind myself that the reason I blew a top 5 pick that year was I needed a DE at the time.
