Do you think, if pressed, to keep one or the other - will Jerry terminate McCarthy to keep Kellen and make him HC or let him go and keep McCarthy?

Like I said before Payton had 18 years on his resume and Kliff 11 years, McVay 9 before becoming a HC. And Moore.. 3. You finally see an actual team being built and developed and a real plan and think McCarthy has nothing to do with this.? 1.4 seasons since the Garrett debacle and already a night and day difference. Ready to just throw that back in Jerry's hands? That's exactly what happens with a 3 year coach. The old Mentor/protege route... AGAIN! You don't factor in Jerry when talking about the next golden boy!

Another funny fact is because Payton won in NO doesn't mean he wins here. Again the Jerry factor. And that factor gets much larger with an addition like Kellen Moore. No matter the expectations or potential.

It sounds more like fool's gold!

And Again... since Kellen has been under your team, ..your tutelage,,so you should know him up close an personal, that you would not have with the outsiders

what makes him tick, ...what attributes that you experiencing by working so closely with him that you believe could make him an HC. ..
Is he mature and savvy beyond his years that could contribute to him being an immediate HC, ..
No one thought he could be such an very effective OC this fast this soon, after just a one year QB coach role ..could same hold for a HC candidate ?

Could Kellen be the exception to the rule ?
You didn't,....don't ,have that privilege with 9 year, 11 year 18 year asst. and college coaches as you mentioned, they are outsiders so you count on that years of tutelage
more than ever.

- As far as the Jerry flaming .. you haven't accounted that this teams is far more led by son Stephen and McClay than ever before. Jerry is more the figurehead who sides
with Stephen/Wil than ever before. - biggest course changing decisions seem to be lead by Stephen than Jerry nowadays
- the favorite players of Jerry ala Dez, Romo, and Jaylon would've still been playing because Jerry .... ditto with coaches Red Garrett, whom Jerry forever
envisioned as his next Sean Payton, if it was up to Jerry, Jason would still be the Cowboys HC, .imo.

I would rather McCarthy right now. Moore is a strong prospect for the future (2-3 years).

So likely Moore will be some other NFL teams' strong prospect HC ...and Dak would have to learn an entirely new offense.

What crap team out there is going to thrive on offense with an inexperienced Moore at HC. The Cowboys players won't be going with him. He will be the future HC, but I think he knows he us not ready to turn a team around now.
