Morality aside, Greg Hardy is the only missing link to a championship

I know he's got the issues he's dealing with and I'm not sure how that can be circumvented but I do believe this player, or another player of his caliber, is the only thing we're missing on this team.

With Dlaw coming back we'll have a RDE rusher. We have 2 very good 3 techniques in Crawford and Melton and they're both getting better as the season progresses. The 1 tech is not valued but btw Mcclain, Hayden and Brent we can hold that spot down. Selvie, while he's played well against the run, hasn't done squat as a pass rusher this year.

We can have Mincey and Spencer rush from LDE when Lawrence gets back but it won't be the same as having Hardy rushing from that side. He's pretty much the only player missing from that Carolina defense and look at how far they've dropped with him out. And I know they're tired of his shenanigans and won't be franchising him for a 2nd year in a row.

So whether it's before the trade deadline (maybe just for his rights) or in FA, I think we need this guy.

Google details of his arrest and tell me if you're comfortable cheering for this particular player. He's probably the most toxic guy out there in terms of players facing legal action.
I agree we could obviously use a DL of his caliber but there's no way Jerry acquires this player.

We need a Hardy type player but just not him and all that baggage. Oh and don't forget the $$,$$$,$$$ on his contract.

Don't have the cap room to even think about it this year. Unless his price drops steeply next year, won't have the cap space to even consider it.

Everyone thought that Carolina DL was going to beast. Well, they are a 180 degree opposite this year. You never know in the NFL from one year to the next.

So, morality aside, how did you enjoy the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

Not only do the Cowboys not have the cap room to take what's left of his contract this year, the league is going to have some say on when he comes back.

I doubt he plays this season.

No, we do not need to add any players at this point other than our own coming off of injuries or NFI or what ever list they are on. Do we need pass rush help, yes. And we may get that from DLaw and as others are still getting more healthy. Learning the defense, and learning as a team. It's about there.

We do not need to screw up the team. Not any one player other than maybe JJ Watt and a few select GOOD guys can come in here and make that big of a difference.

Last I seen, we are 6-1 and everything going well. Keep it as it is!!!!

Why would any team trade for just his rights for this season? He would then become a free agent at the end of the year. I don't see the benefit of trading for a guy and not playing him. A team really wouldn't have the option to trade for him and actually get to use him this season. His new trial starts in mid-November, so he wouldn't be available to play. If a team wants Hardy, they will have to wait until the off season to get him. Trading for him now would just be a waste of a draft pick and since he is a franchised player that pick or picks would be quite a lot.

Not the RKG, but then again their letting Brent back.

Going by the standard of the first two words in the thread title the difference between bringing in either player to play for Dallas this season is the price tag and trading away high draft picks. It costs Dallas nothing really to bring back Brent for this year.

He is a great player, but I just don't see the Cowboys trying to get him. Domestic Abuse is a hot topic now. They have various advertisements on local sports talk radio everyday in regards to supporting abused women/children. Many local businesses have changed their advertising to include something related to their support of this issue.

Maybe at some point Hardy can get a PR firm to help with his image. He would need to make some kind of massive donation to the cause. He might be wise to donate his entire 2015 salary to the cause of domestic abuse.

I'm still stunned the obvious Lincoln Assassination reference had to be explained.....

I'm Nigerian and moved to Canada 10 years ago and only to the U.S. IN 2012. So why would it be so shocking or why would it make me dumb, like someone above insinuated, for me not to get it?

Typical American BS. That's like me being upset because you did not understand a vague reference I made to one of the head of state assassinations or numerous coup de tats Nigeria has seen through the years.
