And it's a mid engine car, so it doesn't have that extra barrier in front of him.Damn that was a nice Corvette too. I love the newer body styles. Pretty sure they are still fiberglass as well, so I'm glad he's ok. Probably not the safest cars in the world.
Do they even make a Z06 anymore? I thought they were all mid-engine Vettes now.Williams model Vette is not a Z06. That being said his Vette starts around $70 but with the car being in such high demand dealers are marking them up bigtime. He’s most likely in the $100k range. Probably a lease so maybe $1.5k per month which is not killer for his salary.
LMAO, the man gets t-boned and has to go to the hospital and we're talking about how much he spends on his ride?
They have been doing that for years, ever since they discovered these guys were leaving the game broke but they can't force them not to buy expensive cars and jewelry. Look at hoe some of them show up for the draft.Just to set the record straight, Al Morris had his Mazda, not a Honda. The parking lot of cowboys/rangers practice is stable for supercars, as always has been. The NFL has done a disservice to most players by not having some sort of money management 101 for them. The real world awaits them much more quickly than they realize. the Emitt Smiths and Roger Staubachs are outliers. my two cents
I know one thing...... me at his age back in the day. I would of have been fast break Charlie with that signing bonus and think I'd already arrived.I think it comes from a place of caring, tbh.
I didn’t comment but I was thinking something similar. Reminds me of some of my younger purchases that I could afford but wish I could take back.
Ultimately I decided not to comment about it because, I’m not Sam Williams. I don’t know his finances, and I don’t know his life or what he’s been through.
There are bad drivers of all ages. The younger ones pull out in front of you because they're inexperienced, the middle aged ones do it because they think they're more important than anyone else, and the old ones do it because they didn't notice you.I know one thing...... me at his age back in the day. I would of have been fast break Charlie with that signing bonus and think I'd already arrived.
When I think about the ages of these "kids" and how a lot of them have lived the "catered life" at college, you give me that back in the day and I am a bona fide train wreck waiting to happen. Difference is I wouldn't have waited to leave the game to be broke.
Then there's the "grew up with nothing" side of it and all of the sudden, everything is within reach. How does anyone resist that coming from that background?
I agree, his life, his money and we know very little about his life except his ride is wrecked.
The one thing I did not like about that report was the way she said the other driver's age, like 71 is cussing. I am a little bit touchy about that and all y'all that haven't crossed that 70 barrier yet will be too when you do. Hell, not all of us septuagenarians are Natural Born Killers with machines.
Hey, I was "get the hell off my lawn" in my 40's.
Normally I would just post this in the existing thread but since it provides several missing pieces of information I thought it was best to start a new thread for it.
NO not really more like LCollins crash in 2020? at least this one SW says hes fine , no injuries no concerns. he has bigger collisions in a gameJust reminds me of the Eric Williams crash. It’s never good.
Are you kidding me? About 5 years ago I did a build your own on the Chevy site. With a few options I was over 100k. That was back in 2015. Scroll down and look at the price my man. With tax it's approaching 200k.

C8’s have come down a lot. You can find C8’s for under 100k now all day. A Z06 is ridiculous right now because their aren’t many out so people are overpaying for them. That wasn’t a Z, so probably high $90k to low 100k.
I bought a new black Corvette when I retired in 2018.....beautiful cars....I'm glad he's ok, they aren't the safest....Looks like he got T-boned And the Vette won
I noticed it too, but I figured there's going to be more stories about it, so I'll wait for the accurate onesInaccurate and imprecise information.
If the other car "T-Boned" Williams' car, then Williams did not "crash" his car into another vehicle.
The story is written as if Williams was the one who crashed his vehicle into another car, yet the field reporter even says that the other car pulled out in front of Williams' car
I'm surprised seasoned journalists didn't catch this.
No, actually I'm not.
I learned to drive stick shift in a brand new black '79 Vette, when I was 16. Maybe being a truck driver was my destiny.I bought a new black Corvette when I retired in 2018.....beautiful cars....I'm glad he's ok, they aren't the safest....
