Last 14 games without Tony , Dallas has averaged 17.3 ppg

Nfl average is over 22 ppg

Cleveland Browns have averaged more than 17.3 ppg each of the last 5 years as a team

17.3 ppg is good for bottom 3 in the nfl

Credit to @Marcus_Mosher on Twitter for these stats

More fuel for the Garrett is a bozo brigade

in 2012 jerry jones was booed everytime he was shown on the video board so they stopped showing him until the final week vs the saints.

I have a feeling this is coming for garrett. The radio stations today seemed to be as fed up as the fans and a lot of fans just take their cues from what they hear on the radio.

Pretty interesting if romo comes back for cincy and then all of a sudden everything turns around.

I was tired of Garrett the second after he iced our own kicker.

I'm tired of the poor clock management, the lack of creativity and the cowardice of this coaching staff. They coach scared and it reflects on the team.

The fact that Romo has been saddled with this guy almost his entire career sucks.

In all honesty, as much as I hate the week after a loss, I'm more than a little happy to see a bit of perspective enter back into the Tony Romo debates here. Even if Dak wins out with the rest of his games, I think we all know this game yesterday is a W and not an L if Tony's in the lineup. Don't we?

I've no doubt Romo wins the game yesterday. This nonsense about Dak taking his job can be put to rest.

Probably. But not having Romo shouldn't mean an automatic loss.

We've known the play calling was bad for a while. We just had an elite QB behind center that masked just how mediocre this coaching staff truly is.

Without Romo Garrett would've been gone a long time ago.

No, disagree. Romo could have been burned by Beasley and Bryant just like Dak was. If Beasley or Dez catches that ball we are all talking about how wonderful Dak played. Romo is completely immobile and would have been sacked a few times, may have fumbled, etc. Dak did a terrific job IMO. He is 100% the future here.

If I read Daks stat line without watching the game I would have said he played horrible. You really had to watch the game to realize how little help he was getting. It blows my mind that he didn't turn the ball over

That's the worst part. Tony will finish his career with Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett as his head coaches. And as bad as Wade was as a head coach, Garrett is worse. Roger had Landry, Troy had Jimmy and Tony had garbage.

No doubt he's the future, completely agree with that. But the present is Romo. It's not disrespectful to Dak that he sits behind a bonafide stud at QB and it's not disrespectful to Romo saying Dak is the future. Dak is the long term future and Romo is the short term answer. Honestly it's a nice situation to be in. We got 2 QB's that can win games for us and one is on the cusp of the HOF and the other shows amazing potential.
It's a nice position to be in.

Unfortunately Little Jerry is still "coaching" the team and that is the barrier that must be broken for this team to advance to the next level.

Agreed. I felt the same exact way. He was very confident, poised, made good throws most of the game but it seemed like there was a lack of help for sure.
There is zero excuse for beasley to have dropped that pass. In a game of inches, you have to catch those balls.

No, incorrect, Romo doesn't throw it over the head of someone that's probably as tall as Tom cruise. That's a walk in touchdown with Romo. He adjust plays at the line, doesn't overthrow guys 5 feet in the fourth quarter. It's probably a blowout with Romo and the end of the fourth quarter doesn't matter.

I agree with most of what you are saying and think it is a solid post too. I just think Romo is at the end of his rope now and can't be counted on. No zip on his passes, no mobility, still holds on to the ball too long etc.

Oh, I completely agree there. I don't understand why it is, but the team will not step up and support a backup QB for some reason. Just re-watching every pass Dak made yesterday and you can see it. Drops and plays to be made on contested balls that we somehow make with Tony and can't seem to make with anybody else.

I don't know what Garrett does about it, but he's got to do something. This team needs a kick in the *** when it comes to protecting this good young QB we've somehow lucked into.

Dak played really well, so that wasn't a comment on him. But you're fooling yourself if you think Romo doesn't win that game yesterday. I have zero doubt in my mind he does.

You're also fooling yourself if you think Tony's going to be immobile when he comes back.
