All the time was spent by the judge telling us what an honor and duty it is to serve as a jury member. He then spent the rest of the session listening to people who were requesting to be excused. There must have be 30 of them.

I have to back next Tuesday for the jury selection process. If selected, the trial could be a long one. It's a murder trial.

Is it possible that you could be sequestered? THat can take a chunk of your life away. hopefully they'll feed you well.

I guess it's possible, especially when the jury is deliberating, but the judge didn't mention it.

Maybe it won't be to bad --A straight up murder usually doesn't last to long. Not sure if you have the death penalty over there --if you do that can drag things out a lot longer. I do feel for the juries sometimes. Its bad enough sitting in the hall on those hard benches. At least when I am setting there I am on the payroll
