Well, Wife is headed to Washington State on her annual Western Pilgrimage. She will be gone for a week and I will be home with the kids. Should be interesting. Lets hope I don't end up tied to a post with kindling surrounding me.

Good morning, Cbz and the same to the usual suspects. What's with talk of guns and being tied to the stake? Is the Zombie Apocalypse upon us? Bob, take no prisoners. That way, nobody goes to jail. ABQ, theey don't burn you at teh stake; they persecute you on Facebook.

Ologan, I checked my last post. I meant to say that I WON (not one) my speeding ticket. What I negelcted to mention was that there was a five month delay between the ticket and the hearing. When I showed up for court, the Crown Prosecutor (who I knew well) and I went looking for the Provincial Sheriff, only to find that he had been transferred elswhere three months earlier. As the Crown had no evidence to present (they assumed I'd plead guilty) the case was dismissed. I did not get to use my photos, badly done diagrams, and my carefully crafted written argument (which in retrospect was a piece of ****) but I was happy as hell and failed to share that last bit of info with my co-workers.

Took my wife to the new Disney Flick "Brave" last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. My day has strated well and I want everybody to have a great day.

I tried to use the "I could not see the sign because it was obstructed" argument but it didn't work even had a picture...picture had a guy draped over the sign in a ski mask mooning the camera and another guy in a ski mask pointing to the sky using only his middle finger...really you couldn't see the speed limit but wound up paying 10x the amount...doesn't seem fair

No hard and fast plans set, but I'm up 'n' at 'em just the same. May shave my beard... may work to solve the global healthcare crisis. Haven't decided just yet. Need me a cup of coffee or two before doing my best thinking. LOL. You?

I've been working on another backyard raised planter flower bed and finished it last night. I'll think of something to keep me busy throughout the weekend. I'll tell you this: Football can't get here soon enough.

Morning Pops,Leon,Witt,Sarge,and all who follow. Leon,raised beds are the way to go, not only with flowers, but veggies as well.
The NE Georgia farm tour is this weekend, with the "Old School Garden" we are coordinators of, on the tour. Will be busy guiding and explaining why our vegetables are bustin' out all over. Oh yeah, supposed to be in the TRIPLE DIGITS here in the mountains for the next couple of days.....very rare!

I've been aware of this thread for some time. Held off posting... first thinking it was for those who'd known "Pops"/ Weldon (which didn't include me) but then realizing Pops' memory is being honored when everybody takes time to post about their/our daily lives, no matter whether they/we knew him or not.

Pops must have been a great guy, respectfully and kindly remembered here by all who knew him... or not, as in my case.

I've been aware of this thread for some time. Held off posting... first thinking it was for those who'd known "Pops"/ Weldon (which didn't include me) but then realizing Pops' memory is being honored when everybody takes time to post about their/our daily lives, no matter whether they/we knew him or not.

Pops must have been a great guy, respectfully and kindly remembered here by all who knew him... or not, as in my case.

As one of the few here that had the honor of meeting him in person. He was one of the best.
