You know anything about her breeding --she looks like she has some Australian
shepherd in her ---I raise Aussies and use them to work cattle---

Funny thing, I would have bet she was an Aussie...

I sent away for a DNA test...get this....German Shepherd and POMERANIAN.

So I was thinking "Can't be"...I got on line and did a seach on "German Shepherd Pomeranian" and found a blog with pics posted of a dog that was that mix...that looked exactly like her.

But...her behavior is very Aussie....she is very aware of borders...patrols the perimeter of the property...is smart as a whip...extremely alert and highly distractable and also fixates when she is distracted by something.

In any case, she's a pleasure to own.

Two years in a cage at a shelter where I volunteer and do some training. I went there deadset against bringing one home...but there's something that was just different about her...so we clicked. The transition from two years in a cage to home life was kinda tough for the first month or so...but we've hit our stride now.

She has Hepatitis, so I'm hoping for the best.

But she's quite brilliant...great companion and watch dog.

And yeah, I find furry little tumbleweeds of fur all over the house...in spite of the brushings....no problem, small price to pay.
