I'd shoot about 150. I normally miss the green on my approach and rely on my chipping to get me close to the pin. But off of Lava rock? Doesn't sound too good for chipping.

The lava rock just juts out in spots around some greens (and is abundant over the entire course), so it really doesn't come into play for chipping. If you happen to hit it, the ball just ricochets off to who knows where. The other bad part of the course is that the "soil" is really just granulated lava...a reddish mushy mixture. I was stationed there for a couple of years but the ship I was on was away half of the time, so I actually had about a year of playing time there. It definitely made me learn to be creative in my shot-making. I managed a 73 there (par 71) toward the end of my stay. I easily consider that the best round I ever played. Haven't played in several years now...I kind of miss the game.

Morning, Pops and fellow posters. I had a slim hope but definitely no expectation we would win yesterday. But I gotta say I thought the offense might do a little more. I cannot watch another game with Weedon at QB. Thankfully we have a bye week.
