Not complaining Leon --just admitting that some things are harder on the body then they used to be.( and also being thankful that I will never be as old as Juke -Who is the designated old fart of the morning crew) You live on the Islands -you will never grow as old as someone living in New York in the cold.

Thanks Phil always something to be grateful for.

Perhaps you could some up with some a bit more gentle than "old fart"?

:( ;)

Morning Pops and good thursday morning to all you guys.

Everyone have a nice New Years.

If you're gonna drink and drive, leave out the drive.

Have a great day and evening boys.

:)

Morning Pops and Zone

Happy New Year everyone

I had to get that out of the way because I'll probably be asleep by the time it rolls in. :laugh2:

:D fixed it for ya

Morning Cbz , morning Jr;) . Morning Sarge -Yeag and everyone..I agree with Sarge , Party smart --dead or in jail is not a good way to start the new year

Morning Santiago...Zoniacs...early morning hooligans...

So, I decided to close out the year on a high note and purchased a 50inch Panasonic Plasma TV...delivery Saturday...in time for Sunday's game.

I figured, what the heck..might as well end a financial disaster of a year by spending money. :D

Happy New Year to all....

I've been looking at buying a new tv myself but since I'll be out of town for the game I think I'll wait. :D

Ya know Yeags, I think I learned something from Santiago this year.

Enjoy life a bit more.

I think it was that great philosopher, Jimmy Carter who said "I doubt there's ever been a person, who on their death bed said "Gee, I wish I would have worked more"

So I went on line and looked for a place that could deliver before the game on Sunday...they're not as crazy expensive as they used to be. The reviews of the set were all great.

Done.

So hey, Santiago, thanks. :)

Seven years ago, after I had a nasty bout with malignant skin cancer, I was hesitant to buy a Corvette...Yes, no...I really shouldn't...etc etc.

One of the guys at work came up to me and we started to talk about the car...and he pointed to the scar on my face and said "Didn't you learn anything from that?"

Done deal.

I have always felt that when something tragic happens, like what did with Weldon, the best thing we can do is honor their lives by learning something from it AND putting it into action. It doesn't have to be something as extraordinary as dropping moolah on a HDTV...but just some way of acknowledgment.

So, when the bill arrives for the TV, I'll just blame it on him. :)

Good morning, Pops and good morning Zoners. My dramatic purchase came in the form of a new lamp for the dining room. Actually, the wife and I are planning two trips this year. February will find us on a cruise ship in the Caribbean and we are now planning to be somewhere warm next Christmas. I'm taking Sarge's advice and I'm not driving, because the party is at my place tonight! I'm hoping Cbz will drop by and the rest of you are welcome as well. Happy New Year, Guys!:starspin

Sorry Phil --I have decided if I can't drive then it is to far --and you are to far;) Have a great party and don't mess up the new lamp by wearing the lamp shade

Afternoon Pops. I will be happy to see this year pass by. It has not been a good year for me personally and I suspect others too have had a rough time of it. Amoung the things I hated the most was your passing Pops. However, I know that you have better seats now and so, it is a better thing for you. Still, I miss you Pops and I hope that that never changes.

:)

Hey Juke, Sarge, Yeags, Leon, Phil and Bob. Hey Zone, Good New Years Eve to all of you.
