Good morning, Cbz and good morning to the rest of the crew. Juke, what is it about dogs and snow? Every dog I've known likes to run around in the white stuff.

I see that Nascar is big with some of you guys. I've only seen a few races on TV, so it's hard for me to get a feel for it. A few years ago, National Geographic did an article on Stock Care racing and it was apparent that it's a big part of American culture, particularly in the South. I just think they should change it up a bit and have every second race go in the other direction. I just want to see if these guys can turn right.

They do turn right twice a season. :laugh1:

Weekend plans include watching the Olympic opening ceremonies and watching for some of our locals who are competing. A guy down the street is a Bobsledder and a young woman from the town just west of me is a Skeleton racer. Both very nice people and both are contenders in their events.

BTW when you say "lots of snow", picture this: I lived in Kitimat, B.C. years ago and we used to get, on average, 40 feet of snow every winter. Heavy, wet, hard-to-shovel snow. I have no desire to move back there.

Juke, I used to live near Sacramento, Calif. We got snow about once every ten years in the valley but, silly us, we actually drove to the mountains to play in it on the off years.

Bob, we finally got a little rain yesterday. It's been sunny and dry for two or threee weeks and as soon as the concrete guys show up to start work on the garage slab, BANG, rain! It's okay though because we needed the rain.

Good morning, Cbz and good morning to all the rest. Had to get up early to work on a pancake breakfast for our Winterfest. Lots of cold weather activities, including a Polar Dip. I will not be participating in the dip. Leon, I've borrowed my friend's Ridgeline and was quite impressed. It really depends on what you need. Sarge, there are deals to be had. Lots of hungry truck salespeople out there. You'll get what you want at a good price. If you're hauling the hayburners around like Bob, you might need a big diesel.

The forms and rebar are all finished, but the Concrete company is on Hawaii time. They couldn't bring it yesterday, they are closed weekends and don't make deliveries on Monday because it's presidents day. Sooooooo the truck gets here on Tuesday and hopefully my Tongan cement workers come back.
