FEATURED Morning Pops!

Morning Pops. Morning everybody.

Welcome to Monday morning!

Have a great day!:)

Good morning, Cbz and the same to all Zoners. I must have closed the south gate but forgot about the one on the other side. We got 6 inches of snow over the weekend and it's a bit chilly today (4 degrees F.) I'm sure spring is out there, but it's lost. Have a great day, all of you.:D

Good Morning Pops, ologan, Phil, Bob, ABQ, Sarge, Leon, and any I missed. In the 70s here as well. NOT doing a garden this year. We are going to be traveling too much. Congrats on the weight loss ologan. I've dropped 25 and boy do I feel better. Sugars are better, too. What have you done to lose? I just eat mostly my wife's Chinese cooking so I don't get much starch or meat. I have now become half rabbit. We are having Chinese BBQ today but that's because we're having company. Anyway congrats and keep it up.
Afternoon Pop's and followers!
Thanks for your support,Job!
I found out I was Type 2 diabetic a couple of months ago, and from there did a couple of things;
First, I take the meds religously;Second, I started eating a bowl of oatmeal every morning with fruit instead of a 32 oz. Diet Coke heading for a job. I've not had a DC in two months. Third, I started watching what I eat, and more importantly, watch the portions I eat. I've greatly reduced sugar intake.
Fourth, I check my BS level at least three times a day, and over two months time frame, I'm averaging a blood sugar of 123.5. I went last week to have it checked and got an A1C test, which was 5.7! If I keep on, they may take me off the meds and depend on diet and exercise.
Oh, and by the way, we walk a lot in the mountains.
It's hell gettin' old!!! But I've seen lot's n' lot's of Cowboys history.

Morning, Cbz, Bob and Jobber. Morning everyone. We've got wind at about 20 mph today as well as yesterday and all night. I enjoy almost all of the elements except wind. Have a great day, folks.

Morning Pops. Morning to all of you fellas and to anybody who may be new to this thead.

Ologan, sorry to hear you have joined the club. However, sounds like you are doing great. Keep it up.

:)

Good morning, Cbz and the same to all you Zoners. Ologan, I drink water almost all the time now. The only exceptions are when I drink beer or wine. Or Rye. Or Scotch. Or Vodka. ;)

In all seriousness, congratulations on the lifestyle change and enjoy the walking. Have a great day, everyone.:D

Morning Pop's, and all you well wishers out there. Thanks for the support. Just finished my oatmeal and 'nanners and second cup of java.
Have a great hump day......Jobberone, let me know where to meet you to pick up my Masters tickets!!

Morning, Cbz. Morning ologan and the rest of you Zoners. I wish you all the best on this hump day morning. I have a tee time, but we are supposed to have severe thunder storms today so I may have to cancel.

Morning Pops and all. ologan you can pick them up where I'm getting mine....in my dreams. All my old standbys for tickets are either dead or use them. I haven't been to the tournament in years. It's more fun on the tube. I try to get in a practice round so I can see the azaleas. Won't get there this year though.

Everyone have a great day.

Aw shucks!!! They want a mint for practice round tics, if you can get them. I'll save the money.

Good morning, Cbz and good morning, all. This talk of golf and good weather is encouraging. Leon, play it safe regarding the weather. Maybe the driving range will suffice for today. There's nothing worse than getting out to the sixth hole and having the skies open up on you. Have a great day, everyone. :D

Morning Pops. Morning to all of you guys and to anybody new to the thread.

Been blowing a hundred miles an hour here for a couple of days. Winter has returned briefly but I'm hopeful it will depart just as quickly.

Everybody, have a great day!

:)

Morning, Cbz and everybody. No golf yesterday due to lightening, hail, heavy rain and strong winds. I'm bad enough without those challenges.

Have a great day, folks.

Morning Pop's, Job, Leon, and followers or lurkers. Dogwoods beginning to pop open, but the locals say we've got a little more cold to come. Something about not having had "blackberry winter" yet.
Looking forward to some of our best friends returning to the mountain in a couple of weeks. They winter in their condo down in Ormond Beach, Florida from November to late April, and are in their mid 80's. I play golf with them at least once a week, so I'm looking forward to starting back up. Even at his age, he still regularly whips my tail, but I don't care. We just enjoy their company.

There's 12 houses on our little mountain, of which we are the only full timers. I'm the mayor of the mountain while everybody is away. We check the houses on our daily walks. Everybody will start filtering in pretty soon, and the mountain will again be open for business.
