Morris has really been lackluster when he comes in for Zeke recently

Morris is a good RB, but Zeke is special so when you see him in the game it's a mental letdown....

He had 3 carries. One was a nice run. The other two rushes Walter Payton wouldn't have done much better.

Morris appears to be a rhythm back who needs carries to be effective. His carries have gone down each year and so has his rushing average. One thing that Morris's lack of effectiveness has proven this season is that the back matters and that you still need a real solid back to have a consistent running game regardless how good your OL is. Those who think you can stick any back behind our OL and have a great running game have found out the past two seasons that's not the case and Alfred Morris is just another example.

And in complete hypocrisy in the preseason you were saying DMac was expendable because of Morris.

DMac was a washout in Oakland and saw his career YPC jump up a 1.0 YPC behind this line.

I don't see the burst. But the issue is that we have a rookie QB and he's an average at best in pass pro. So that forces us to put EE in.

3 carries each of the last 2 weeks. I think he should be getting 5-7 touches a game
Most backs needed more carries.

Zeke is surely getting them.

Let's wait on what happens.

Frankly they should activate DMac..

Dunbar is still healing..

Morris' numbers have declined every year since his breakout rookie season. That's why he was a relatively cheap acquisition. It's also why Dallas drafted Zeke.

Get back to that thread you ran off from and answer those questions. lol This is just more diverting. Morris has proven along with all the other backs we've used that not any back can be productive behind our OL. I would still take Morris over McFadden who wasn't averaging anymore than Morris in the same role last season.

He had 3 carries last night. Hardly the sample to claim he's not very good.

Morris' first (and only) three carries = 6 yards.

Elliott's first three carries = 3 yards.

The sample size is meaningless.

Morris is a good back. He really is... but like any good back he needs to get in a rhythm. In a game like that you absolutely must have your most dynamic game changing players in... the situation just didn't allow him to get going.

If Morris got 20 carries a game, this thread would not exist. He has not been allowed to find a groove or get in rhythm.

This is like putting in a pinch-hitter in the 8th inning and hits a pop up......he sucks, should be sent down to the minors

Morris isn't Zeke but he is more than capable to do the job if need be.

Lol, that I ran from?

You mean the one where I answer your questions efficiently but you keep responding
by writing me long-winded screeds like I'm your pen pal from summer camp?

You clearly need me, but I have zero use for you.

The only question you answered was that Dan Marino couldn't keep Sammie Smith from sucking and you ended up proving my point. lol There's several more questions that you couldn't answer that caused you to run off from that thread. If you have zero use for me then stop messaging me. This is just another discussion you initiated.

I just think it's from not seeing a lot of action. I think he's been alright. Zeke looks so good that there's a definite drop for whoever backs him up. I'm a McFadden fan so I would be the first guy to want to put him on there and see what he can do. I just don't think Morris has done anything to lose his job.

Morris is a rhythm back who needs more carries to be successful. Randle on the other hand did better with fewer carries.
