That sounds like a really dumb strategy to me.

Only other option is they are trading for Jimmy G, which would be costlier than Romo probably, they are going to draft someone like Kizer in the 1st round or they are going after Cutler.

Yeah, and I think that was intentional. Either they think this draft is way to strong to give up a 2nd rd pick, or they want to keep that in play in case of a bidding war for Romo. They are going all in on Romo to become their QB next year.
