Dez is talented but immature

he needs a real coach who can teach him his boundaries

we dont have people with the intestinal fortitude to do this

we have the ultimate enabler owner/GM and a never-been HC/OC who thinks saying the right things and giving a good PC will win championships

watch us cut him and for him to go to NE or SF and light it up

Parcells would've been perfect for Dez. Probably would've been rocky with several crisis moments the first 2 years. By year 3, they're probably best friends with Dez "getting it".

I'm pretty sure 'disaster' refers to Dez in general.

On the field, he's making mistakes. Off the field, he's in trouble.

If you read what Ernie Sims said a week ago, about how he wasn't in the right frame of mind early in his career, I believe this is the stage that Dez is in right now. It's pretty obvious as well--you can see in the way he plays. Undisciplined. He coasts by. Makes mistakes. Doesn't learn from them. His mind is clearly not in a good spot right now.

I'm thinking he's at a crossroads where he could continue on his current path--or straighten up and be a pro.

I think he is more "Physically Gifted" than "Talented"..

Talented doesn't require much studying or preparation..
Physically Gifted required a LOT of studying because you have the TOOLS and need KNOWLEDGE to utilize them...

Guy is a flat out major disappointment at this point.

I don't know if he's a complete disaster at this point...but he's headed that way fast.

Even though I really can't stand Dez right now, I agree with you.

The guy has all the ability in the world and IF he gets his head right, he'll be amazing. He's young right now, and acting like it. He needs to grow up. Someone needs to get through to him.

Though I have a feeling he would only get his head right in a different city. Coddling him is not going to work. Ignoring him is not going to work. Dez needs to be benched when does wrong, and he needs to see consequences of his mistakes. We don't do those things for Dez. He's babied because he's Jerry's pet cat.

Three years and he doesn't know his routes? Should we give him 6 years?

Naw, I would give him atleast another year. But, would be benching him in some of the games this season.

If it doesn't click then. Then , be with it.

LOL, And then watch him light up Dallas the VERY next season if he went to another team. :laugh2:

Dont even compare this clown to moss.
Belichick stated that Moss "is the smartest receiver he's ever been around."

This sound like our boy? LOL

Only in Dallas would 80 receptions and 1000 yards get you kicked out.

2 1/2 seasons in the same offense and only one 100+ yard receiving game.

Either he is illiterate and cannot read or he just isn't committed to learning the play book. Either way, he sucks. Sorry to say that, but it's the truth.

I could have swore he had at least 2 this year, maybe 3. And I know he had like a 95 yard two TD game as well.

I can understand people being down on him but to just ramble completely false statements off is silly.

2 this year with an 85 and 95 yd w/ 2 tds. Don't forget 2 inches from 147 and a TD and a game win.

This is in part why I despise ESPN. If going with 1 source is bad enough, the viewer/reader has no idea what the context is behind being a 'complete disaster' is. Is Dez a complete disaster as a person or just as a competent WR? Or is his personal life just a disaster? Or perhaps his ability to run the proper routes and slow progression is a disaster?

I don't think Mort has a personal vendetta against the Cowboys unlike other ESPN 'reporters', but a little detail would be nice.
