Wade Phillips had a decent run with Buffalo for 3yrs...10-6, 11-5 and 8-8...then was replaced...his 98 and 99 teams made the playoffs...defenses finished...his defenses finished 7th, 1st and 3rd each yr, and his 99 defense finished 2nd in pts allowed...he did lose both playoff games he coached there, but one was the Tennessee game after the 99 season and they had that game won if not for the miracle kick return play

we could do alot worse in a HC than Phillips.. his style of defense would probably bring our guys to another level...with a good offensive coach in place, we'd be in pretty good shape

Actually I wouldnt have a problem with this. His players always play hard for him and he is very aggressive. He started rob johnson in the wild card round after playing flutie almost every snap in 99.

I actually thought he had the bills in a good spot and then they went crazy and fired everyone and changed everything.

Again though, he is old and doesnt really offer much more than a 2 or 3 year outlook. Kind of makes me doubt the truth of this. I think if jerry hires someone new this year it is someone he intends to take with him to the new place, and he will want a name and results for that.

I honestly think you'll see Wade introduced as the New Head Coach within 7 - 10 Days - I think Jerry WANTS him and WANTS Bill gone - I don't think the choice is Bill's anymore, Wade just looks a Jerry fit. You can bet Jerry knew Bum as well.
