The SCOTUS was very clear that the NFL could do what they want with issues regarding the rules and integrity of the game. That was laid out quite clearly in Brown vs NFL.

If this was just like Brady then this case would have no chance in the lower court given the precedent.

And sure the NFL will appeal. This is a much better case than Brady's case. Brady did not have the NFL's lead investigator excluded. Brady did not have several examples of mitigating evidence excluded from the decision. Brady did not have precedent.

This is also not going to be the same appeal's court. This one goes to New Orleans not New York.

I hope while you are kicking out the mara's of the world, you are kicking out the Rooney's, Kraft's, and Jones'. I don't think ANY ownership group should have any favor with the commish on a singular level. As a group of all of the owners, yes!

Yeah that's how it seems. People really that scarred to be like I don't think he did this with all the evidence. Stuff like this is why people say there is a pic culture. If Zeke was doing the stuff TT was doing as far as lies folks would be ready to throw him out the league. She does it people still like I think the NFL has something in their back pocket. They do it's the dog poop they put back there that they forgot about.

Given that the justice here clearly distinguished between this case and the Brady case what precedent would that be? The only other case would be Rice who was punished for DV and he had his suspension vacated by the court.

3. Friel testified that EE told her that they were dating because they weren't exclusive and they had a sexual relationship and he paid for her rent and co-signed on her car. This is simply a difference in interpreting of what a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's not a 'lie' which would be something like denying they ever dated or he saw her a couple of times and that was it (and even then, it's a minor lie that has little to do with the case). Oh, and the Florida police office testified that Thompson told him that they were 'friends with benefits.' Of course, that police officer's testimony was withheld by the NFL.


4. EE stated that he initially invited her to his birthday party and then she started acting up at the club and the he told her, verbally, that he didn't want her at the party. This would fall in line with Thompson's own testimony that she went to his party in a separate car. And it falls in line with the six witnesses who saw the same thing and then saw her get up in the face of Taylor Sandbothe, threatening to fight her.

Sorry, but EE has been completely credible in this case. He has come forth freely, given all of the information he could give, he has gone out of his way to defend himself because he's been guilty until proven innocent and he has every bit of evidence and every witness (besides TT's aunt) has testified in his favor, including the witnesses that TT has stated would come to her defense (besides her aunt).

Thanks for taking the time to post a very informative summary. Taking all this in Go Zeke and shame on you NFL league office. I still will watch the players but now see little difference in the NFL office and career politicians

They need to move the NFL office to a neutral location. Put it with the HoF.

This makes the judge's statements today all the more important. He made it crystal clear he had BIG PROBLEMS and saw HUGE RED FLAGS with the NFL'S investigative process. He directly rebuffed the idea that hiding Roberts & her conclusions from the final investigative report doesn't matter since Friel claimed her own conclusions were 'cumulative'.

The judge made statements today directly calling the fairness & objectivity of the process into question. He rejected the NFL's arguments.
