The Cowboys do, however. We have spit out the bit too many times against Reid and that team that I have trust issues. I am not too proud to admit that I have been jaded.
If. I'd prefer playing inferior teams to get to what really matters, even if it means an extra road game. Home games, divisional titles, even byes, all are secondary and practically irrelevant in comparison.
I could feel that way, but the way things have shaped out the last week or so have tempered the enthusiasm I had after the Saints win. The hapless Buccaneers with a rookie QB beat the Saints in New Orleans. Washington was actually worse than I thought they were. I think the Cowboys are playing perhaps the best football they have since our last world championship.JBond;3184237 said:Call me cautiously optimistic. I have been so disappointed by the play of the Cowboys in the last 3 years and I understand your your reluctance to jump back in with both feet. I also believe this is a different team. To beat NO and then shut out the hapless Commanders has me feeling good. I think they will continue building momentum by beating the dirt rotten stinking eagles this weekend. If they win soundly I expect you back on the bandwagon leading the cheering.

This is probably an article better saved for after a loss, but I suppose he wanted to get on record before-hand.
Personally, I say win the damn game and beat anyone who comes into our house. But I see the argument he's making and it's not without some merit.

Alexander;3184293 said:That is important. It is okay for jaded fans to think that. But it is not for the players and I do not believe they look at it like that.

Plus their record at home this year is not very special (4-3).Sitting Bull;3184294 said:If we lose, I want the Cards. We're a better team and there is no home field advantage when Dallas comes to AZ. None.

Some dysfunction still remains in this team's offense and I see winning this weekend's Eagle game as a necessary step for ironing out the wrinkles, building their confidence, and continuuing their momentum. The last two wins were against questionable opponents(Saints are sliding),,, a win this weekend would be huge.
Beyond that, meeting Philly again in the playoffs is a possibility in either case and I'm sure they don't relish the idea of playing the Cowboys a 3rd time either,,,, I'm also sure they would like that 3rd game to be IN Philadelphia and they would like all the other positives that come with a higher seed.
It's possible that the 6th seed will pan out as an easier route to take, but most likely it will be the tougher route.

Boyzmamacita;3184335 said:Beating Philly would be the biggest Cowboys victory since Super Bowl XXX. Yes, bigger than the last playoff win over Minnesota. It would be putting the proverbial big gorilla to rest. There would be no doubt about who's the best team in the NFC East. And it would put doubt in Philly's minds that they can beat us. A sweep over Philly, a three game winning streak and the NFC East crown - now that's momentum and it's the easiest route to where the Cowboys want to go, no matter how you slice it.
