Gotta say though, for Superbowl Champs, they have to be the most paranoid lot you'd come across...You'd think they lost the Superbowl...Just looking for something to give them an edge...Crazy

All I can say is thank god for marijuana!
I was about to say the exact same thing.

At the end of this year, as we watch them hoisting the lombardi, we can take time to reflect and think about what got the Cowboys to be world champions.

there is no doubt we are in their heads.

And its pretty sorry. When we were champs in the 90s we always struggled with philly and I dont remember the cowboys talking about the eagles daily.

that game in november in ny is going to be a flat out circus.

oh and one more thing, It is great to listen to the cowboyszones own Brian Broaddus on the show. He is on right now talking about how many scouts believe scandrick is going to be better than jenkins.
I've heard Broadus say so many absurd things that I don't even pay attention to him anymore. I don't consider his input any more valid than Galloways.

What scouts? They've played one preseason game.

some more from mosley on gac....thanks to twodeep

Mosely was on GAC - Galloway and company - this afternoon from Auburn at the Giants camp.

Reported they think the camp is running smoother without Shockey, although they didn't come out and say so.

The team has the Wade Phillips comment about get your ring finger ready up as bulliten board material.

Mosely said he explained this was a response to a heckler in the crowd and Phillips didn't say it in any other light.

They didn't want to hear about it. All they care about is being disrespected by everyone. Within three months of winning the Super Bowl the Cowboys have been favored to win the East again and possibly be one of the berth holders for the big game. That irks them and they are using it as a chip on their shoulder.

Their favorite TV show. Hard knocks.

The team gathers around TV sets and watches together looking for any comment by a Cowboy - player or coach - that they can use to motivate them.

Conklin was walking around speaking to anyone about - did you see Pac. Meaning the six balls he caught in punt practice.

Galloway brought up that why should the Giants give a rat's butt about what the Cowboys think. The conclusion is they have an inferiority complex and want to use that as motivation.

Stated the Plax contract is close to being done and he will appear magically healed from his injury to take the field the first game of the season.

I cant believe they sit around watching Hard Knocks looking for material.

BTW, I guess you caught this too, theebs, but it's kind of interesting what he's saying about Jerry and some of those bad draft picks. Said the scouts and even Lacewell were ignored a lot of the time by Jerry -- that they'd actually get kicked out of the room and some rankings would be changed as Jerry would be influenced from coaches he knew. Sounds like that's what happened on Quincy -- ol' buddy Jim Donnan influenced him.

And on Goodrich, the area scout thought he wasn't that good, but the Tennessee coaches talked Jerry into him.

Ugh. Listen to your scouts, Jerry.

Wow, just as I was typing that... On Quincy, they were working on the draft and the area scout doubted Quincy. The scouts knew about the drug and even some gambling allegations against him... But the scouts literally got kicked out of the room so that Jerry, Steven, "Lace", Campo, and Wade Wilson could talk about Q. When the scouts came back in, Quincy was in the second round on the board.

Wow.

He said every player, coach, and personell person on that staff watches hard knocks in hopes of a Dallas player saying something negative about the Giants.

I think this team is starting to have a "Beat Dallas 1st" mentality instead of "get back to the superbowl."

Exactly.

Let's see how this thing with Bennett pans out, but he's not off to a good start and Jerry was fully warned by his top scout.

Sometimes I think Jerry only hears what he wants to hear.

Speaking of drugs, maybe Jerry, "Lace," Stephen, Campo and Wade Wilson passed the bong around after kicking the scouts out of the room.

Jerry: "Quincy has the same birthday as me .... far out, man."

These guys are without a doubt the biggest babies I have ever seen.

Before all three of our games the Giants talked smack. After we beat them twice all they did was whine and cry.

They remind me of Jr High kids. They can dish it out, but they can't take it.

That entire segment was GOLD. I'd pay 5 bucks just for a podcast of that.

I listened to it yesterday and they spoke about the Quarterbacks. Hutch, Quincy, and Henson.

Brian Brawdus is the man. He could make a cd discussing all this stuff and id buy it.

LISTEN TO YOU SCOUTS JERRY!

Just more from Broaddus...

-- Parcells pretty much just sat back and watched the 2003 draft. He got there too late to do a lot himself, so he was evaluating the process and the scouts themselves... The team knew they'd drafted badly lately and had to make changes. Bill didn't like Newman that much, didn't like the age and size.

-- Does give Bill full credit for Witten, though. They had him with a 1st round grade. (How that goes with "sitting back", I dunno. Maybe Bill just took a liking to Witten in particular.)

-- Says Ciskowski and even Ireland tried to talk Bill out of Jacob Rogers.

-- Says Bill did prefer Spears over Ware, and that they had Spears and Ware with exactly the same grade. Ireland had to talk him into it. Bill visibly pouted when he didn't get Spears at 11.

Mac engle hero of the stupid is coming up next from denver. I hope they break his chops about the giants stuff.

that shows how important it was to him to have big guys up front. Had he known they were getting canty I bet he would have been happy to have ware. I kind of took it that he would have been ok with merriman also.

said they came back from a meeting and jacob rogers had moved to the 1st round on their board and Ciskowski stood up and said something!!! Swing and a miss.

Bill sat down with jerry and stephen in jerrys office and talked it out and they though merriman would be too hard to sign!

amazing how things turn out.
