Mosley: Hamlin may be on way out

If there was one player on the Cowboys defense who underperformed this season it was definitely Ken Hamlin.
Matt Mosley from Galloway and Company was talking about what he's hearing on Hamlin...

I do like the idea of drafting a big time Safety. From what I hear Taylor Mays is a big time Safety, but I think he was 'hotter' coming off the 2008 season.
Hamlin got a big fat deal and did not play well this season. He rarely made any plays and early in the season was pretty bad. There were plays where he took unusual if not just plain stupid angles on ball carriers. Then at other times he seemed to go out on his own and take himself out of plays with his guess work.
In 2007 Hamlin came up big with 15 passes defended and 5 INT's.
In the last 28 games, 16 in 2008 and 12 in 2009, he has a total of 1 INT and 4 passes defended.
Just imagine how great this defense would be with a ball hawking Free Safety like an Ed Reed. Right now Hamlin is certainly not that guy and he may just be on his way out of Dallas.
