You answered it yourself. He doesn't get paid for 8 games. His salary is split in half.Bob Sacamano;1539441 said:but how do you sign a player who is not supposed to get paid for 8 games, someone please clarify that for me?
honest question
Bob Sacamano;1539433 said:you can always find intense players who aren't about to get their arses suspended for 8 games
What do you consider intense?abersonc;1539498 said:How come we haven't found them then?

Cute. I ask a question and get a smart *** comment in return.abersonc;1539504 said:There was a nice list of them before. Your boyfriend was on it.
abersonc;1539516 said:let me ask -- have you seen intensity from the D -- or even anyone who plays with a mean streak on the D recently?

I must've missed the list. As for whether Woody was on it or not it doesn't matter. Not sure why you keep bringing him up to me anyway randomly in the middle of a discussion. I asked WHAT do you consider intense, not WHO do you consider intense.
How do you identify someone as intense or not? Alot of people have a perception that the team's off-field nice guy demeanor affects their on-field demeanor. So what do you consider intense?

Don't think that wasn't a significant part of our perceived lack of fire. Parcells wanted them collected, keeping their head in the game, not embarassing their opponent. Fans mistake that for a lack of intensity.
Pulling out the Bill "Bogeyman" Parcells card. I see how you roll.superpunk;1539527 said:but visible manifestations of that intensity, drawing attention to yourself, dancing around and degrading your opponents - was something Parcells WOULD NOT tolerate. But what are those things that a guy must do to display intensity to you and why do they have to play "dirty?"abersonc;1539545 said:I call "intense" a guy who plays with a mean streak but is also - John Lynch, Urlacher, and Bruschi come to mind. Those are guys who sometimes do things that other players label "dirty" -- but they are guys who play smart and know when to take their shots -- Most importantly, these are guys who get their teammates excited as hell. I can't recall any of those guys having off-field problems. However, you sometimes get guys who are intense both on and off the field and that can cause problems.
Ideally, you want the teddy bear off the field who is a nasty beast on the field - those guys usually play smart.
The answer is obvious:WoodysGirl;1539571 said:But what are those things that a guy must do to display intensity to you
