Well that is not good news.

You can put me down in the group that thinks jones is going to get torched. I didnt see him do anything in the preseason that gives me any confidence.

He may get 7 on a punt return though. WHich is what he should be for this team a punt returner in the short term.
Pacman is gonna do da damn thing. don't you worry theebs. let me guess, you made a tnew highlight recently? :laugh2:

Maybe of course maybe not, but I am not sure how confident I would have been in Newman considering he has not really practiced in quite some time.

Either scenario did not give me a warm fuzzy.

Having said that, I would rather be able to throw Pac Man in there because of a Newman injury than say Reeves.

I think in time he will be a good corner again, I just dont see it right now.

What I am dissapointed in is that jenkins isnt starting over pacman.

Get used to it.....last year he missed a handful of games, I bet he misses at least the first 3 this year and probably more later on.

I was against signing him to an extension, and now you know why. He is all of a sudden very injury prone. IMO!!!!!

Even if Jenkins had a great camp i dont think he would start over Pacman. It was already known imo that Pacman would be the 3rd cb.

Its hard to just come back after time off. I personally thought jenkins would play before pacman all along and that pacman would be a punt returner till the middle of the season.

Now its hard to do that because if jenkins plays well and you make him the 4, that would be wrong.

At the same time the games count know, there is no time to shake rust off so I hope he is ready to go. I really have no stomach for listening to that guy make excuses if he plays poorly. And if a player is going to play poorly I would rather it be jenkins.

Either way as long as newman is good for the philly, gb and washington run I am going to be happy.

Adam 'Pacman' Jones will start Sunday

Wade Phillips tried to play it coy, but Jerry Jones spilled the beans to Calvin "Lucky" Watkins.

Pacman will start in Terence Newman's place at left cornerback against the Browns. Newman still might play in the Cowboys' nickel and dime packages.

Pacman will also return punts, and Wade Phillips said Pacman and/or Felix Jones will handle the kickoff return duties.

The stage is set for Pacman to make quite an impact in his Cowboys debut.

That's good news IMO. I'm all for bringing him back slowly. Caution is a luxury most teams can't afford, but I believe we can several positions. That's we we strive to get depth...sometimes you have to use it.

You can put me down for he will not.

Everyone is making a big deal about 1 on 1s....it is a useless tool for evaluation.

BTW, Brandon Marshall would smoke just about any corner in 1 on 1s.

He may not be what he will be, but I think he is going to be very solid and fiesty.

Thanks WG, great as always... I still believe Newman will be eased back into the line up Sunday.

Should we be using Pac as a punt returner? If Tnew was 100%: heck yes, but if he's out should we risk Pac returning punts..........I don't know.....

We risked Deion doing it. I wonder who was more important to the franchise.

Sucks if he doesn't play, but we dealt with it fine last year. It's not a death sentence.

don't understand the part about not wanting to get him injured with a big game against philly coming up.....we need him more against cleveland than we would against philly.....philly does not have the threats on offense cleveland has
