They are two different subjects completely. One is a team stat and then there are individual stats.

When talking about the quality of the team overall, team record is the key. When talking about players, you compare them with stats.

Its not complicated at all actually. But I understand why the haters bring in team success or lack there of. Its because they get laughed off the board with Dak's personal numbers compared to other QB's. They got nothing else.

And of course when the Cowboys actually win a lot of games and go 12-5 again they look stupid. So they just move the goal post to the playoffs. LOL

A pathetic group of fans that are too scared to admit they were dead wrong on Dak. So they root for us to lose.

Switch Dak for one of the Top 3-5 QBs and those playoffs issues are resolved but hold on to that 400 yards games.

I'd much rather waste years until we find a real QB instead of meandering around in mediocrity with QBs that can't get it done.

I don't care if we go 12-5 because I expect to lose in the playoffs at this point. Dak and Romo couldn't play well consistently against good teams, they could do it for one game, but then the next one they would regress back. Do people really expect them to play well 3 or 4 games in a row against playoff caliber teams like we would need to win a Super Bowl? That's not how they're built.

But we don’t get to make that decision. Rooting for us to be horrible until we can find another HOF caliber QB is ridiculous. Plus you’re counting on this dysfunctional organization to make that correct choice which has not shown that ability this era.

It is what it is and we are what we are. Continuing to bash the QB this franchise decides to build around is focusing on the wrong target. And it becomes more about trolling the fans who are simply rooting on the cards dealt them.

Basically about 25 teams could all say they don’t have a great enough QB to win a Super Bowl but they can try to find a good enough one to build around . It just becomes a talking point. And an excuse why you haven’t won a championship . When even those Elite QB’s don’t guarantee one . They just provide fans more confidence they can.

As always in life . You do the best you can with what you have .

Actually what I would LIKE is having a team whose QB throws for 250 yds per game + or - a few and whose running backs gain 150 a game + or - a few and wins, Wins, WINS. When playoff time comes the team is in the thick of things and advancing. I would LIKE a QB and an offense and a solid D that steps up and carries the day. That is what I am waiting to see happen with the Cowboys.....and it has been a long, long time since they had that!!!

Sometimes they do and they certainly keep you in football games. But one thing we know, 400 yard passing games dont lose you football games. Or are you suggesting that all those yards and scoring hurt the team?

Troy Aikman had one 400+ yard passing game, they lost to Minny.
All the other games, not 400 yards but 3 Super Bowl victories, 3 NFC Championship victories and another appearance.
I like victories over stats.

How do you propose we get one of those QB’s?

Everyone wants a HOF caliber QB but about 25 teams at any given time ,sometimes more, don’t get one.

In the meantime the rest of the league who doesn’t have one of those QB’s try to find a good enough one to build around cause if you do you can knock off some of those greater QB’s with lesser teams.

Fans want and expect their team to win. And the QB get too much credit when the team wins and too much blame when they do not win. To quiet his critics Dak Prescott is going to have to lead the team to some big wins. Big wins in critical games and playoff games. He probably has the talent and can do it. But the question is "Will he do it?" Can the offense come up with big wins under his leadership? If so, the critics will be quietened. If not he will be like Danny White and Tony Romo.....just another long tenured Cowboys QB.

At the end of the day is Dak the best QB in the league? No.
Is he the worst? No.
Is he top 10? Yes.
Can you win a SB with Dak? Yet to be determined.
