This video would make a very good PSA about the benefits of contraceptives.

Oh no, nothing will come close to last year for me. I either had to hear about the Steelers attempt at first to 6 Super Bowl trophies, or the sudden Cardinals fans in this state who were invisible for the previous 19 years I lived here.

Gag a maggot on a gut wagon.
Yes. That was absolutely awful. AWFUL.

It's amazing how many people don't watch ESPN :laugh2: But I'm basically one of them (except for college bball, PTI, and Around the Horn). I actually have a rooting interest this year so I'm more excited for the game than I have been in a few years. Go Peyton. I hope he throws for 58609 yards against that awful D, and three touchdowns against Sharper so we can put to rest any ideas that we should sign him.

I listened to Sirius NFL mostly the last couple weeks, and the Peyton love was nausiating. I dont even dislike the guy really, but man i hope he gets sacked a few times and throws a couple pics.

I'm really torn on who i want to win, i dont hate either team, unlike last year where i was the biggest card fan ever.

"Most annoying?" Maybe to some, but I live deep within Saints country and even I can say that there are a couple of pre-Super Bowl weeks which were more annoying for me, like...

Super Bowl XXIX: Chargers/49ers. After they beat us, there were too many days of how San Francisco would reclaim their greatness... when everyone knew that the actual Super Bowl WAS Cowboys/49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Heck, even some San Diego fans accepted that fact well in advance of the Super Bowl itself.

That particular pre-Super Bowl week(s) finally dethroned my previous most annoying one, which was before Super Bowl XV: Raiders/Eagles. The hype broadcasted during the week prior to Philadelphia's first Super Bowl visit was nauseating, even by early 80's standards. "The Eagles were one of the best teams ever!" "Who could stop Philadelphia from winning their first Super Bowl?"

After the game was played, I had to be honest with myself. It was one of the most enjoyable non-Cowboys' Super Bowls I had ever watched. Never have I laughed so much during a title game. heh. It still makes chuckle to this day.

As I have told many MANY bandwagon Saints fans over the last few weeks, "Enjoy it while it lasts". Like many NFL fans in general, they do not understand how much parity exists within the present day NFL. Some longtime true Saints fans whom I have spoken with do understand though and I have to respect them for being sensible--even if it does include hearing one "Who Dat?" too many during our conversations. :p:

I've had a pretty good week, but on the other hand, I haven't watched a lick of ESPN or NFLN. That's the easy way to not having to hear about it.

Same here. Might have to make it more of a habit during the season too.

anyone who can defend the Who Dat chant has clearly not been around a Saints fan in the context of a "Who Dat"

Because if you did, you would know that even Katrina itself could not keep you from despising the Who Dat chant. It is probably the most annoying chant I've ever heard. And unlike our chant which is usually used after a win... "Who Dat" is expressed after a touchdown, a fumble recovery, a 20 yard gain, a made FG, somebody bringing another case of beers.

I thought my head was going to explode...

This week could be SO MUCH WORSE. We could be hearing about the Steelers, or the Patriots, or the Eagles, or the Commanders, or the Giants, or the Bills or............ pretty easy week for me.

Who cares?

I'm sure there are 31 teams who are tired of hearing about "America's Team."
I'm sure there are 31 teams tired of hearing about the terrible towel.
I'm sure there are 31 teams tired of hearing Go Pack Go.
I'm sure there are 31 teams tired of hearing about HTTR.

There are fans of 30 teams out there who are butthurt because their team simply wasn't good enough to get the job done.

I will enjoy watching Peyton roll the Saints today. Then the saints fans will go back into their caves for another 40 years....

"Who Dat" has got to be the dumbest thing in sports.

As for Katrina, don't get me started on that. A lot of people lost everything in Louisiana and Mississippi not just in New Orleans. They just got all of the press coverage. Waveland MS lost their whole town. People in Cameron Parish that were hit by Rita a few weeks after Katrina lost everything even their High School. Lake Charles still isn't totally built back after Rita. So I am sick of the poor pitiful New Orleans residents. They got most of the money and all the sympathy. We had some of the so called refugees up here in Beauregard parish after Katrina. Some of the most ungrateful people I have ever met. We were without power or fresh water for 2 weeks here in Beauregard parish after Rita. Sorry about the rant but I am sick of hearing about Katrina. A lot of people suffered not just New Orleans.

Cowboys fan in Louisiana. GO COLTS!! Just for today.

You guys need to go to a Jaguars game. I went back in 2006. They have a cheer, a scripted cheer, for every first down they get. My Dad and I looked at each other like, "what the hell is this??"

I can't wait to watch the Saints get crushed! I just watched the whole "who dat" crap on the pregame show. I hope they get crushed.

:saints:

I can't believe how stupid their fans are. I was hoping the glass was going to break on their heads when they started tackling the t.v.

I'm rooting for the Colts for sure.
