It'll definitely shore up the run defense which should help put offenses in 3rd and long.......thus more sack opportunities
Our run defense was bad with LVE and Hankins. Nothing has changed with their injuries.

I'd sit a TE and or a WR and bring up Takk and anybody that can help out, the D looks squashed, specially at the end of games. They are being outphysicaled and outschemed, that's on Quinn.

Nah for about a 3 game stretch they defense was shutting some big time runners (cook, saquon, taylor etc)....then when Hankins went out one wheel fell off. Then when LVE went out.......the wheels fell off.......it just goes to show how important that big fatty in middle is when he can hold his ground and occupy 2 blocks all the while keeping the LBs clean.

Then, take out Sam Williams.

I expected Dallas to win at home with Philly playing a backup QB but it's very alarming this defense gave up 34 against a backup

Yeah they looked bad.

But I’m going to defend Minshew here.

It simply doesn’t make sense that hems not starting elsewhere. He’s gotta be in the top 20 QBs in the league

Eagles had ANOTHER game end of year with 6+ sacks.

Cowboys had ANOTHER game end of year with 0-1 sack.

None of our key losses are coming back. Front 7 looks winded.

Shame on the coaches for #11 having to get on a knee to tell those idiots to let them get their breath.

They could have done the same thing too on the 4th the Eagles ran for a TD. You could tell the defense is winded.

Safeties are going to have to save this season. 4 solid vets out who are key for the run and pass defense - NT, MLB, and 2 CORNERS.

Love the win, but this is parity. Only the hot teams go on now, or those who can survive the injuries. Jags at this point have a better chance to go all the way than our Boys if they can't get the momentum back.
The most concerning thing happened to the other team when Lane Johnson went down. Then throw in that Sanders fumbled twice and Hurts has a bad shoulder. Think how they feel.

Minshew is not a bad QB. At halftime I did not think we would win this game. This D is going to have to step it up if they expect to beat Philly at full strength at the Vet. Or the Link, what is it now?

Defense gave up 27. And while Minshew is a backup, he played very well, and was protected by the best O-line in the game.

Zero sacks vs Garder Minshew ... looks like we are beaten up and running outta gas ...... :(
Minshew would start for all but the Bills, Chiefs, Bengals, Chargers and the Jags. He moves 10X better in the pocket than Sak does.

AND, we played without Hankins, LVE, Sam Williams, Brown, Lewis, and the still-recovering-from-the-flu Parsons and Diggs.

I had a chance to look at the game again. The Cowboys could have had some sacks but Minshew threw the ball away quickly about 6 or 7 times just before the pass rush got to him. Those aren't sacks, but they are lost plays.

Neither helps our pass rush. But will take whatever. Our coaching staff is soooo bad. On the called Dak run, the coaches should have told the team to stay in bounds.
coaches have enough things to say and shouldn't have to remind the starting 7 year QB to stay in bounds. Its like telling a teenager to wipe his butt after he poops. Shouldn't have to be done.
