Deon: His acquisition was the beginning of the end of the dynasty

Barry Switzer: Dynasty may have lasted longer with a competent hire other than him.

Clint Longley: No one sucker punches America's QB

I gotta go with my heart here

1) Garrett, the coach (not the player) we wasted way too much time(and Romo's prime) on his OJT
2) Wade Phillips, powder-puff and another guilty of wasting Romo (enough said)
3) Phil "False Start" Pozderac (the middle name I give hm says it all)
O so we can name coaches? I agree on your 1 and 2, and add Switzer.

^^ This.

Wasted Tony Romo's entire career with his stupid moves.

When he said we don't need an OL here in Dallas because Tony Romo is mobile, I prayed for the Devil to come and take him.

As late as 2011 Jerry was still bragging on all the $$$ he'd saved by making UDFA's like Kevin Kowalski and Phil Costa starters. We all know the drafting of OLine with #1 picks since 2011 is mostly due to Stephen Jones & Jason Garrett fighting hard to talk Jerry into it.

Rat
Marcellus Wiley - Admitted he had no gas left in the tank, on ESPN, and laughed about ripping Jerry off.
That OLineman Dallas picked up from Green bay. Got hurt in TC.....He knew he had back issues yet took Jerry's money anyway.

Marco Rivera.

Honestly I believe the most despised Cowboys by the fans is Tony Romo.

I can't recall a player who has bled, broken bones, punctured a lung and kept this team relevant, and covered for the coaching deficiency get as much hate as this dude. From the fans to the media and even some players.

I'd say it's because he's just that good, and people hate on people like that for whatever the reason.

He is not my despised player, but based on all the criticism and the way our fans have treated him this year that would be my choice.

How did I know you would say that???:muttley:
We had no contingency plan for life after Aikman when at that point, we should have been trying to rebuild starting with QB. Instead, the owner tried to put more and more around Aikman and it just didn't work. After that, it was a series of mistakes.

Randall Cunningham
Ryan Leaf
Quincy Carter
Chad Hutchinson
Drew Henson
Vinny Testaverde
Drew Bledsoe
Kellen Moore
Matt Cassel
Tony Romo

I see one QB on that list that was drafted by us and that's Quincy Carter, who was drafted by Jerry Jones.
The rest were either has beens or scrubs picked up off the street. This is how Jones used to pick QBs, because he believed that he was smarter than anyone in the NFL.

Tony was an undrafted player that's supposed to take America's Team to the Super Bowl and he just never had the pedigree to do it. What I dislike most about Romo is the time wasted on him. We could have drafted another QB 5 years ago and let the competition begin but of course, we wasted another 5 years dealing with a guy who never really was a Super Bowl contending QB.

Since the drafting of Tyron Smith, I don't think Jones had anything to do with drafting. This is where we started to build our team capped off by a mistake Dak Prescott who turned out to be a gem. If not for how Dak has played, we'd still be digging in the dumpster for QBs.

Luckily we don't have to worry about that at the time. Now Prescott has about 4 to 5 years to get to the Super Bowl, if he doesn't, there's no need to waste anymore time on him, honestly. To me, Jones pushed Romo on us. He knew the guy couldn't win the big one, but he was exciting and that's what fans liked, so he kept pushing him down our throats, paid him gazzillions and now we're stuck with his price tag. I'm not sure if Jones' has learned his lesson about pedigree or picking a ready made, top-notched QB as high as possible in the draft, or a guy who played in a tough division who excelled, but thank God we don't have to worry about that right now. Hopefully by the time Dak retires in 14 years, Jones will be in a nursing home in Wiley somewhere and can be FAR FAR away from QBs.

It's a play that's been etched in the minds of many Cowboy fans for decades. I still believe the fathom PI call on Benny Barnes was the most damaging play in that game but Smith's drop did cost us 4 points which is what the Cowboys lost by.

Yeah I guess I hate mediocre play over a career based on how we got them. He just dropped a pass, kinda like new school guys think of Crayton.

I would pay real money to see Jerry taken out behind the chemical shed, pushed down on his knees, and have a bullet blasted into the back of his brain pan execution style.

Hell. He should do it himself. <bleeping> narcissistic, self-absorbed, swine of a man.

He's really not worth the time, the money for the pistol or the bullet, nor the trouble trying sift through the legion of potentials willing to do it.

I guess that goes a bit beyond <dispise>. But.............it is what it is. Sorry. But a man can dream. Can't he? LOL!!!

1. Jay Ratliff - faked an injury to get out of Dallas, then immediately had a miraculous recovery & signed with the Bears
2. Marcellus Wiley - took Jerry Jones' money in an act of fraud, then laughed about it
3. Greg Ellis - the last few years he was here, constantly whining about the younger guys being drafted behind him at his position.

Coaches:

1. John Blake. This is the guy who spread rumors in the locker room about racism, that Troy was a racist. Ended up in the middle of the UNC scandal in 2010.
2. Rob Ryan. All bluster & talk, schemes way too complicated for even 8 year NFL vets to understand. Just got fired along with his brother in Buffalo.

Not trying to be mean, just don't like a QB with his pedigree.

I forgive you. What we can agree on is Dak. At least from what I've read from your posts.

So we'll just focus on what unites us moving forward.

Let's dance.

Who are your top three Despised Cowboys ever? Could be due to on field struggles or off field shannanigans.

Mine:

1. Van Der Jagt. Guy was a disaster here. Missed key kicks left and right. Hated him since he mouthed off at Manning.

2. Clint Longley. Was he the guy who got in a fight with Staubach? Maybe I'm confusing him with someone else. Nonetheless, l hold that against him.

3. Roy Williams...nuff said.
I liked when Vanderjagt mouthed off at Manning, lit a fire under the slumping qb and his career took off after that

my most hated?
Harold Charmichael
Terrel Owens
Randall Cunningham
