Let's be reasonable about the years here.

If you're 36 you haven't been watching for 36 years.

I'm 40 and have been watching since I was 9...Hence 31 years.

sorry for not being clear...I AM 36.

I knew you were 36 but we were talking about how many Years you have watched/been a Cowboys fan.

Unless you watched them as a baby...you haven't watched them for 36 years.

Again....

Let me break it down for you:
1. I am 36 years old.
2. This is the most embarassing game that I have watched.

Is that freakin' clear enough or do we need to keep this thread going some more to build up your count?

Well since you brought my count into it...

We were talking about how long you have been a Cowboy fan.

How old you are doesn't matter.

Have you been a Cowboy Fan for 36 years? I doubt it.

You're dead wrong and can't even see why. That team had no talent at all. We were starting off with a new coach with zero NFL experience. We were in decline for several years and Johnson and Jones knew they had to start from scratch. We had absolutely nothing that year. It cannot even be remotely compared to the utter collapse and failure of this year's team. If you don't see that, I don't know what else to say. This team is embarrassing from top to bottom.

Well, since you're the expert, though you admit you haven't been around that long, and since you aren't interested in any opinion but your own, why did you bother to even ask?

I don't find this team embarrassing because they have the record I predicted...I think the blind people are those like you who seemed to think that guys like Kozier and Colombo, along with Romo and T.O. on offense, and CArpenter on defense were suddenly going to take the sorry team we had last year and make it a super bowl contender.

I began the year predicting 8-8 or 9-7, and I actually thought we'd end up much worse if we played Romo, so while I hate the fact that our defense can't stop anyone, the team ended up being about what I thought they were.

Our defense couldn't stop anyone the past two years in the 4th quarter or hold onto a late game lead...now, they've just expanded that to the other 4 quarters :)

I wouldn't say they're the most embarrassing.

But I would say they're the softest and most gutless Cowboys team I can ever recall in my 29 years of following them.

2002's loss to the Texans was bad.. no doubt about it, although I think the most embarrassing had to be the Crackhead, Drug Dealing Cowboy teams of the mid 90s. Even today, I still can't get in a conversation with friends without someone talking about the Cowboys leading the league in felonies or some B.S. similar cheap shot.. they got the job done on the field, but off the field you sometimes felt bad having to defend them so much.

Get off of this team's back though, 2004's team had a better D and absolutely no offense and I felt worse with them than this 2006 team. That team finished 6 - 10, with superstars like Eddie George, Drew Henson and 2 and 3 game losing streaks coming in regular fashion.

Note: In that 2002 year, I do remember the Campo teams laying down to the Commanders in the season finale and giving up sack after sack.. I remember Emmitt Smith struggling to pick up 1000 yards, watching Hambrick slowly become the better runner (ugh that's saying something eh?)

I've been watching for 41 years.

This team ranks right up there with the most embarrassing. In fact, it may very well be.

Ya see, for me, it's about expectations.

The 1-15 team meant nothing. We all knew what that was about. The team was torn down to be rebuilt.

The Campo years were bad...but we all knew what to expect then too. And ya know, I don't remember Campo teams quitting. Bad as they were.

The embarrassment about this team comes from the lack of effort and not having the balls to close out the deal.

Three years under Parcells we had good to very good starts after 8-10 games...three years under Parcells the team couldn't step up and faded in December.

For me, that's damn embarrassing.

This is exactly what I expected, so it's not so embarrassing. That's why I've been saying that Parcells needs to go. He's lost it. We need to rebuild because this team is flawed by design.

The biggest mistake Jones made was hiring him. We needed a young, hungry guy that would have come in and totally scrapped the crap we had and build a new team from the ground up. We ended up with a bunch of bondo patch jobs on a 1988 Geo Storm.

No, the biggest mistake Jones has made was bringing in Hutch and Henson, that's what's led us to where we are now.

Just when I thought the pinnacle of stupidity had been reached in this very thread, kartr shows up to prove me wrong.

Trading up in the second round for a pothead set us back several years. We're still trying to recover
