Most impressive player this year so far

On offense I will say Choice the kid has the heart of a lion and is always ready to contribute.

On defense I am gonna say Spencer and here's why. The guy is developing into an all-around lber. He is outstanding against the run and good in coverage. I have seen him run some plays down as well. He's a hair away froim having 3 sacks so I know they will come.

Last year was no fluke. He could go on any touch of the ball.

Brooking
Guy is everywhere, looks good on coverage and is stepping up as a leader while Zach never did.
(not the most impressive "over all" player but has impressed me based on my expectations)

Offensively, I'd say Leonard Davis. Last year, I thought he was a bit out of shape and it showed late in games when we had to run. This year, I don't see that. He's really dominating play, so far as i've seen. He's doing well in both the running game and the passing blocking side of things. He's getting to the second level, he's just playing well.

Defensively, I'd say it's Rat. Brookings is close because he really is playing pretty well IMO. He's more then most probably expected but not me. I expected Brooking to come in and play pretty well. If Brookings falls off, it will probably be later in the year due to his age. This is not to say that he's not playing well now because he is. However, the one guy who seems to be showing up every week has been Rat to this point. He's getting it done.

Ratliff and Jenkins on defense. Brooking wouldn't be far behind.


Least impressive? Barbie who still shows no desire to tackle, MartyB who is a world-class athlete that needs to actually produce int he passing game at some point and Hamlin who I excused away last year because of injuries but now has to simply learn to tackle again for some reason.

Ratliff on defense is a no brainer.

Offense I think it's Kosier or Felix Jones.

I think we knew what we had in Felix but we didn't really know it if that makes sense. Seeing what that guy can do is just amazing.

As for Kyle it's pretty clear that he's shut up any and all who thought he sucked prior to last year and was the weak link on this team. That saying you don't know what you've got till it's gone rings especially true here.

Jay Ratliff on defense: Haunting driving force for the defense anchoring the middle of the line. A man playing amongst big boys.
